I went to Copenhagen (Denmark) a few days ago just for fun and in a smal recordstore i fond some Meat Loaf records.
One of them was BOOH Special Limited Picture Edition (LP is in perfect shape). It costed me 20 euros.
I wonder if anyone knows how many they have printed and how i know witch number mine has. And also how mutch it is worth.
If it helps it sais EPC-99-82419 on the side. Could that mean that mine is number 99 out of 82419? If so...is that good?
Thanks MB

I have a picture disc of Bat too... the one in the bordeaux-red/black bats cover, right?
Don't know how many are made, or what its worth, but I do know that the 'EPC-99-82419' is the catalogue number. It's not an indicator of how much were made.
I do also have a Bat II picture disc, and I know that must be #47 out of 10000, since it's numbered 0047 at the front :)
Hope that helped

My Bat picture disc has the normal cover on the LP and red/black bats on the paper cover and I´m pretty sure that EPC-99-82419 isn´t the catalogue number because that is printed on the record and is "P BL 34974-3AD" and the normal Bat LP the catalogue number "34974".

OK, now I'm confused.
On my record, there is nothing printed what could in some way resemble a catalogue number. All it says is "Meat Loaf, Bat Out Of Hell" at the top, left hand side in the middle "SIDE ONE", underneath that some logo and "Pic Disc, a division of Fitzgerald Hartley Co" and at the botton "© 1997 CBS Inc / (p) 1977 CBS Inc".
On the side of the cover it says
"E99 34974 Meat Loaf / Bat Out Of Hell Epic Picture Disc"
(the E in E99 barely readable though wear&tear, but I'm prettu sure its an E)
The backcover says that the album is released in conventional form as PE 34974, PEA 34794 (8-track) and PET 34974 (cassette).
But what makes me sure that 82419 is the catalogue number is the following:
My plain ordinary Bat LP: EPC 82419 (Printed in Holland)
My "Simply Vinyl Limited Edition Vinyl LP" edition (200x) gives 82419 as catalogue number (as well as SVLP 0086)
All 1977 Bat singles as well as "Hits Out Of Hell" LP give the following catalogue number for the album: 82419 (prefix 40- for the tape)
As I said: I'm confused...

I´m confused to...
It sems that mine and yours is identical exept that on mine it sais "© 1977 CBS Inc / (p) 1977 CBS Inc" and not "© 1997 CBS Inc / (p) 1977 CBS Inc".
But we can say that bouth "82419" and "34974" are catalogue numbers but way do mine have different catalogue numbers on the cover and on the record?
Is there any way to know how many they have printed? And is there any way to know wich number mine has got?

Make that "1997" a typo on my behalf (oops) must (of course) be 1977
As for the rest, I don't know :??:

Thanks anyway! It just wold have been fun to know... :D
Picture disks are great. I don't have any... cause mostly i find some when i don't have money... and that is bad. But know i'm gonna start and collect them. Love them really. The Bat 1 picture disks is not so special i thought... Seen it a couple of times on second hand album markts, and in cd and vinyl markts....
Bat 2, haven't seen that one. But go a couple of normal vinyl records. And they are great!!!

Yes vinyls are great. My collection of Meat Loaf vinyls are shapeing up. As for the normal vinyls i only miss CHSIB, Midnight, Bad attitude and WTTN.
I also have some Meat related vinyls like JS - Bad for Good and Ted Nugent - Free for all.

Wow, that sounds good. But try Ebay or that kind of sites. Then you have a change of finding picutre disks. I've bought the Stoney And Meat Loaf and some ML singles this way..

 I love picture discs 8) .
There is something really rock & roll about vinyl, but when you put a cool picture on it........ .
I started a topic about pic discs quite a while back. There might be some info there for anyone who's interested.
I think it would be great if we could have a collectors corner forum to catolouge past releases and discuss them  .

There is the thrill of the chase,as long as there is something to be chased :?
For a looooooooooonnngggg time, the only place I could find Meat Loaf stuff was in a couple of record shops and the occasional record fair.
It used to be very exciting going to these places, hopeing to score that great rarety, but after a while I was getting really frustrated coming away all the time litery empty handed. Then I found e bay :D .
In the year or so i've been on the net,my collection has grown a lot more in that short time than all those years searching through boxes of records.
The only problem now is trying to make my wallet strech to all those extra nice goodies  .
