View Full Version : TO FIRE BALL - Any News About U.S. Promotional Appearances?
I can't believe the U.S. release date is coming up real soon !
Aside from the special concert on September 23rd, has anyone heard about any other promotional appearances that Meat might be making, especially on the East Coast? In-store CD signings or television appearances? Radio appearances?
Any ideas Fire Ball ??
Thanks :))
Vicki
Forgive me for asking this ... but I'm a real new Meat Loaf fan, and I wasn't around when he released his last studio album, Welcome To The Neighborhood.
Is it just me or does it seem strange to anyone that he's not doing any cd signings or in-store appearances here in the US when the CD is released next Tuesday? I mean he did one in London when the CD was released in the UK, and according to the information from Shane, he has two scheduled during his trip to Australia.
Sorry ..... I'm just so excited about the CD finally being released here in the US, and I wish someone would let us know what they're doing to promote it

 Hi Vicki.
I think the lack of promotional appearances is due to the present tour.
I would imagine that Meat would be too busy the day of a show, and the last thing he would want to do the day after is an interview or in store signing, and when it comes to the TV shows like Leno or Letterman it's pretty much being in town at the right time. When he's on the road Meat simply can't do it.
Also,Meat has embarked on a long world tour with two new band members.I don't think it's ever easy to intergrate one new band member, but to intergrate two, when you've had recent health problems, and are begining such a masive tour must be very hard 8O .
From what i've heard the band is in great shape.Very tight 8) .They've had rehearsal time, but you never know just how something will work out until you just get out there do it.I imagine that they will be trying different ideas out (and experementing with some of the older tracks Meat wants to bring back) during any free time they have and during sound checks.
It's a shame that the albums promo might suffer a setback, but I think the resulting shows will make it well worth while.

Hi Mouse !
I absolutely agree with you .. I can't imagine how busy he must be right now with everything going on :) Believe me, it's not the lack of promotional appearances that's bothering me, but the lack of communication. I just meant that if he is doing any promotional appearances (other than the special concerts in NY and Boston), it would be nice to know before they're over. It's frustrating because CHSIB is an amazing album, and I truly want it to be a big success for Meat here in the US :)

Absolutely!! The band is the best I've ever heard ... I'm very grateful that I got to see 2 amazing concerts this month :)) The only bad thing is it's going to be hard to wait until next year to see him again
I'm sure you're right and the resulting shows will definitely make it well worth while for everyone !
