For myself i made (kinda like a therapy i guess) my own version of THE VERY BEST OF MEAT LOAF..
I have chosen from the period 1977 till 2007 because that over spans 30 year of his career and to my knowledge 2007/08 was the last year he (sadly) had any chart luck.
I have kept the much the same to the original..3 tracks i replaced and 6 tracks i have added (3 on each disc).

Feel free to comment and let me know what your song choices would be.

I had to go for 4 discs (!) but I think this turned out quite nicely with timings and the list of songs on each disc.
I'm a firm believer of the strong 3 song opener hence the opening song choices for discs 1-3 and easing things down a bit by track 4.

Still some others I would want on there but you can't have everything.

Prize Fight Lover would be the Teddy Bear cut.

That's a better compilation than mine (but i have concentrated more on a certain time frame and for 90% mine is based on chart successes, so the title Very Best should not be taken to literally here... It's all Coming back is a song i just don't dig at all but felt it needed to be on here.) for a decent overview of Meat's Career i think you need about 6 discs, as for your choices i agree with about 90 % with you.. I think a would have swapped "More than you deserve" for "Im gonna love her.."
and "Keep driving" for "if you really want to" ....I wouldn't personally put half a concert on a (best of), although it a a great one.. my choice would be "Couldn't have said it better" the studio version" skip the MSO versions of You took, Heaven and I do anything for love and replace them with some Pre Bat material like Hot patootie...

But for the rest this compilation is excellent, and you made a great artwork.

Were I to do an anthology, it would focus on the work Meat and Jim made together. (I know, big shocker.) It would also be specifically material released as singles from the albums, a concession to the broader marketplace, though it would be all album versions. Let's face it, it's a streaming game now, we don't have to worry about what fits on a CD.

I changed my initial list to borrow more from the structure of Very Best.
