This is the START OUT OF HELL & ARRIVE TO HEAVEN topic.
Let's Go to Rock 'n' Roll!!!!!!!

Speaking In Tongues (8)

Definitely the best song on the album. I liked it from the first listening and I still like it. In my opinion it has no place in the '19 years old' storyline what Meat talked about, but as a song it is pretty good.

The vocal would be much better (the 'I can't barely breathe' line should record again), but it's still the best performance on the album.

The lyrics is great. Stacy Michelle is not really necessary as a duet partner but she could sing the higher notes, so ok. It's not the level of For Crying Out Loud or Objects, but close to Heaven Can Wait and Lost Boys And Golden Girls.

If I had to choose a song from this album to a new Very Best Of, this one would be my choice.

My score: 8

A good song (and not surprised it is in the Bat Musical), made better by the addition of the bridge.

Some say it doesn't go anywhere, but for me it is like Two Out of Three. It keeps the same pace and structure has a peak at the bridge and is kind of a breather in the album running.

A solid 9 for me.

Great song, but meat is a bit subdued in this and it only features Stacey going high. That's my only complaint with the song. 9/10

Speaking In Tongues - it has great music and lyrics. It has Meat and superb Stacy Michelle (and I think it's good that we have great duet :-) ). In other words: this romantic ballad will have high score from me.

Score: 9,5/10

PS. This song has a very good official video (with lyrics).
PS 2. It reminds me (and my mom) "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad" which is superb, because we like that ballad. :-)

Easily the best thing Meat's done since Bat 2. It's not quite on a par with Bat, FCOL or Objects though, so I'll give it a 9.

i think it's my favourite from the album, the production fits nicely

i can't decide where it ranks in the grand scheme of things, somewhere between a 7 and a 9 currently

A gloriously sensual duet, both the music and the lyrics. The vocals work beautifully together, and I too love the music video. I can listen to this again and again, the music and lyrics lodged in my brain as I'm going about my day.

10/10

To describe this song in one word - "bland". I don't dislike it, I don't like it.

5/10
