I was in a small 2nd hand record shop today and noticed that they had a copy of CHSIB but the colour of the cover and back of the cd was Red and not the usual blue - is this a special version or an import? - I was going to get it but I didn't have any cash on me but is it worth buying in the future?

that's the most depressing news I have heard today... What the hell is it doing in a second hand shop?

Well you never know perhaps like me they bought the German red one, where it was released first, and then bought the Blue UK one which had the extra Bat Out Of Hell Live track on it a few weeks later.

That is what I did and then I sold the red one on the second hand market. Should I get "slapped wrists" for selling the red one?

Not all the cds in the shop are second hand, theres quite a lot of new stuff - it's more of an exchange thing and there is even the odd bootleg but no meat loaf bootlegs.
I was quite shocked to see that they actually had any 'new' meat loaf cds cos they never seem to get anything new, in but when I saw the red version of the album I was a bit curious as to what it was.
I might go back next week and buy it, if it's still there cos it was only £6.

Don't you know? The red version is the EU one (but not UK), which originates from Germany. It is also the one available in New Zealand at the moment. On the back of the red ones available in NZ, it is stated that they were manufactured in the EU. To the best of my knowledge, the blue one comes from the UK.

For each cover colour, there are at least two versions (that I know of). One version has the bonus disc and the other does not. I have heard that the blue one also includes a live recording of BOOH. It is or is not an import, depending on the country you come from. For those people living in Germany, it is obviously not an import. For those people living in countries where the blue one is the one being sold, it is.

How you do define usual?

Thats a bargin for £6. I've only seen the red album in Manchester and it was going for £25 there...

As to the person asking about a slapped hand, i'd say shot personally :p

No I don't know - that is why I asked, I must have missed the lesson we had on the colour of covers.

If it is like you say made in the EU and not the UK then it is an import to me.

The reason I was asking in the first place was because I had not seen it anywhere in the UK before and seen as I already had the blue version, I thought it might have been something a bit special.
