I heard something last night that I didn't know and I'm wondering if it is true. Someone told me last night that Leslie sang backup on Anything For Love. I hadn't heard this and hopefully someone can help me out.

Thanks!

On a related theme, the credits for Peel Out include.....

Femail voice:Leslie Loaf

Hope that helps.

AFAIK, the edit for the video did not contain 'extra' backing vocals. And if you mean that she would be that female in the vid, well, that's just some actress...

Oh, I knew that the woman in the video wasn't her. I believe that was Dana Patrick. But the person that said that to me claimed that Leslie was in the backing vocals.

You know I've heard that said once Bren, or read it .. can't remember who/when .. but I discounted it, and still do really.

As far as I know, the only thing she has done is "I'm Gonna Love Her For The Both Of Us". Or something like that.

I know she is on Peel Out, but not any other songs. I know that she does the clothing for Meat Loaf, and some tour stuff.....

If she did sing backing vocals on "Anything For Love" I can't understand why she wouldn't be credited. Not to say that she's a musician in training or something but it still helps to be credited when you work on a piece of music. If they credited her with the name Leslie Aday (instead of Leslie Loaf on "Peel Out") most average fans probably woudn't know who she was so I don't know if they feared credting her because she was Meat's wife at the time.

It's so original huh, Dottie?

Actually, you have no IDEA what a pain in the behind it was to get the darn thing up there!!! I finally saw a thread on the same problem that others had with theirs and PM'd R. to get his help on it.

But . . . ok. I sorta stole the idea from you. You got yours up there first.

What the answer is to whether Meat and Leslie still work together is I do not know, but as he has recently said in an interview that the ending of his marriage is something which is still too painful to talk about, perhaps it is something better, and more kindly, not debated on a forum he visits?

There is nothing to suggest it is the case, and it is after all his and Leslie's personal business imo. Break-ups whether they be in business or marriage are often difficult and distressing. To have them publicly discussed cannot be comfortable. Bad enough when the papers do this, but I would say as fans and supporters of Meat, let's respect his privacy and his feelings?

Meat will probably comment on it at the appropriate time,
when he feels ready, after all surely another book will be written
when he has time?
starting where to hell and back finished, and a fitting finish to a
a fantastic career.

As much as I love your idea of another book, I don't think this is something Meat should have to comment on. We need to respect his privacy.

I absolutely agree Caryl.

What happened between Meat and Leslie is their business and no one elses .... he doesn't owe anyone an explanation. I'm sure it's still very painful for him .... and even if it weren't, it's something we shouldn't be speculating about on a public message board. We should respect his privacy.

yes vickip, I also agree with you and caryl, meat owes us no
explanation what so ever, not only for his feelings, but also for
lesleys.
his private life is just that, his private life.
No what I meant was that should he ever want to speak about that
part of his life, that is where he would do it.
so no one could cross examine him so to speak.
but i doubt very much he will, as there would be to many peoples
feelings to think of, lets put it this way i doubt he would.
I mean he gives us enough of himself he is allowed to keep some
of himself private, lets just wish him health and happiness in
whatever he does.

I think Meat has given various hints (whether intentional or not I don't know and don't really care) about these matters. I think it's enough to not need to speculate. As others have said, we should not do so. I know some people will think that they have the right to freedom of speech, but I believe there should be limits. Just because Meat's a celebrity that doesn't mean he has no right to privacy. I don't comment on the private affairs of people on this forum, and so I don't wish to engage in a discussion about this part of Meat's life.

Must say I agre with the last few comments. Fame brings all kinds of intrusion and specualtion. Whilst I'm quite happy to sepeculate in some areas  I think the private life is not the domain of fans. imho
