According to James Michaels website (link provided by mirror of the soul who are as ever up-to-date to the minute with meat news) CHSIB will be released in America with NEW Tracks. That is all James Michael says so i guess the speculating begins now. I suppose so many people have imported the CD from UK that the record company has been very clever (take notice Mercury) and realised that they need something different so the CD sells again in America having a lot of americans imported it already. It also means us UK people will be re-buying the CD too!
Obvious possibilites include
the 2 songs which were left off CHSIB - Unsaid and Decadent Wish although they both have been B Sides
Shadowland if it got recorded
Something from the duets CD Meat has talked about
Baring in mind meats 2 weeks off in August he might go into the recording studio
Something recorded from the CHSIB Tour to date?
A New Steinman Song!??
I never visit James Michaels site regularly so MANY THANKS to MOTS for this link, full credit to them!

*SHUCKS*
Thank you very much. Yes, I too am very excited about the new tracks myself. I believe these are to be James' songs, as I know Meat is very excited about working with him.
ROCK ON FIRE BALL!!!

yeah i had thought that they would most likely be James Michael songs, so that means more meat and patti too! because of James, just as things seemed they couldnt get any better!
Has Meat worked with James Michael in the past and can anyone tell me a song that James Michael has written that I might know? I'm very curious about this now.
Evan,
This album is the first time James Michael worked w/ Meat. He has written for several other artists, don't know any of the other songs. There's a bunch of info on his website regarding this.
This is great! Can't wait to find what's in store for us. Don't know if the new songs will be his or :??:, but if they met Meat's standards, I'm betting I'll like them.

PS See that now I'm a "senior" loafer. Just cause I'm staring straight at 50 soon, there's no need for that! :o
Before the album came out, I read a review (possibly the winter tour last year) in which someone reported Meat's daughter Amanda as saying 17 songs in total had been recorded. I'm beginning to lose count of how many we've heard, but I'm guessing the Steve Earle song Shadowland might be one of the unheard ones with a chance (he has actually recorded a song by the same name, so perhaps that is it?)
Meat once mentioned a re-release of CHSIB (the single) containing remixes (I think this is the UK re-release which never eventuated). Perhaps remixes could be among the `new' tracks.
WOW, thanks for the kudos.
A new record label, a tour going strong, and new tracks? How could anyone ask for more in one week? Good news always makes life so much more fun.
As for speculating on the new tracks, this could be a pleasant surprise. Only about seven weeks to go, so unless Fire Ball wants to share, I'll just wait to hear the new ear candy.

And you'll get there before me T. (I was wondering where the next level was at.)
I really hope that "Man of Steel" isn't one of the casualties in the change as was reported elsewhere as a possibility. I REALLY like that song. But I AM all for adding more to it. Or maybe dropping "Crazy 'Bout a Mercury". (Hint, Hint) I'd take that over dropping the duet with Pearl any day.

i have to agree with you lady B on Mercury. It isnt my favourite track and it was good having it performed on the having fun tour, and is ok as a bonus track but for it to be included on the last world tour setlist was the only disapoinment i feel from the feedback of this tour. Theres so many better songs that could be included and if this is the last world tour id rather see perhaps -
DIST, FCOL, Left in the Dark, or Rock and Roll Dreams.
Like I've said elsewhere, it has nothing to do with Meat. I just simply can't stand the song. But if there's anything positive I can say about the thing, it was performed it better this time around. I don't really know how to explain that but it was. I think it was just that there was more that I could hear vocally this time.

It looks like us Europeans are missing out this time!
Can't complain though, we did get the release first for a change. :)

We won't miss out .. just a good reason to buy another album :)
And like Jules I'm content to wait and see what comes .. just like Christmas :)) .. and I learned the hard way one year never to peek before the day .. a lovely surprise is sooo much nicer :)
My god... so you have a European version, a UK version and now maybe an USA version???
Talking about strange things...

The suspense is killing me over what the new tracks will be. I just can't wait to see what exactly Meat and the record company will decide to do. The one thing I hope that they do decide to do is drop any form of bonus track because I hate having to just listen to silence for about two minutes just to hear the bonus song. I realize it was done because "Mercury Blues" didn't fit the concept of the album but if that be the case then just simply remove the song altogether.
