Have there been any dates announced for Meat to play Letterman and Leno? Also, is it likely he'll do other shows as well, such as Conan O' Brien, maybe even the new Tom Green show?

Hi Evan!
In case you didn't already know, Meat will be doing a special concert on Good Morning America on August 15th ! The only thing I've heard is that he'll be on Leno sometime in October :

then going to NZ oct 11 for a day of promo in Auckland (we will play NZ as well) and Japan. Then back to the US for Leno then UK for a Top of the POPS special we are filming Oct 20th or 21st an ML top of the pops special. Then Germany and the Tour starts.

Meat

I don't know about Tom Green, but I'm sure he'll be on Letterman and Conan O'Brien. I think they were supposed to announce more television appearances soon ... hopefully we'll find out something this week :)
If you find out anything, please let us know !!

I take this to mean that he will be on Leno at some point between October 11th and October 20th. Honestly, I'll watch him on ANY show but I'd love to see him on Letterman or Conan as they are my favorites. I'd love to see him on Cribs on MTV- that would be the best! 8)

Yes .. that's what I thought about Leno. I'm the same way .. I'll watch him on anything, but I'd love to see him on Letterman, Conan, and hopefully The View again :) I haven't heard of Cribs on MTV ... but there's a new show called Pepsi Smash (similar to Top Of The Pops) on WB17 ... I wonder if he'll be performing on there?

Cribs is a show where celebrities sort of give a short (7-8 minutes or less) tour of their home, telling stories about why they decorated it a certain way, etc. They always make a big production of the bathroom, cars, bedroom and the contents of the refridgerator for some reason. I love to watch it no matter who is on, but if ML were on I would absolutely love it.

Yes I agree, I bet Tom Green would sing a duet with Meat Loaf, as he's done with some of his other musical guests. It would be so funny and outrageous!

As for the Good Morning America thing, is this a full concert or is he just doing a few songs?

I don't know guys, Meat on TOm Green? Tom can get a bit...well, offensive, I wouldn't want to see Meat put in an awkward positon.

I don't think anything Tom Green could do would put Meat in an awkward position. His stage (and talk show) persona is so strong, I can't imagine anything throwing him for a loop. Bring on Tom Green, even if he is a bit of a sick freak!

Actually Tom has gotten better and with his new talk show he seriously doesn't try to humiliate his guests, he saves all the humiliation for his sidekick Glenn Humplik. The only thing that I think Tom might do is poke a joke at Meat Loaf's name, but that's been done so many times in the past. Also, Meat always says he gets really nervous before he does talk shows but he wouldn't have anything to be nervous about doing the Tom Green show, the live audience is remotely small compared to that of Leno and Letterman and Tom is funny!

I've never seen the Tom Green show .. but it definitely sounds like a lot of fun :)) And I think it's supposed to be a full concert on GMA .. at least I hope so !!

I hope it's a full concert on Good Morning America as well, however for some reason I just can't imagine Charles Gibson rocking out to "Paradise By The Dashboard Light"

As for the GMA appearance -- I am pretty sure its the basic same idea, but i could be wrong, but i've covered a couple of the Today Show concert shows (photographer), and what happened with those, is the performer starts performing about the last hour into the show, but basically only is performing when cameras are live, which would lead to only about three, sometimes four songs live. Some artists did do in depth sound checks as well(around 6am, mightve even been earlier then that!), so that woudlve been an extra treat for the audiences who were standing in place for many many hours. They could very well do it differently for GMA and might actually use the last show hour for more in depth coverage of the performer, which would be great i think! Nonetheless, i think its gonna be a great promo gig for Meat and the band! Take care!!
