I'm not sure if anyone has seen this performance before but its new to me just an amazing song and performance that rounds up this tour but i personally think it sounds to much like it does on the album to be a live performance, but saying that is still an amazing performance and we get to see Kasim playing the piano that i've never seen before either!

Sure Kasim can play keyboards as he did during the Bat 2 and subsequent tour but that's just quite obviously a playbacked performance of the song so it's not really Kasim on piano.

I'm so jealous of you Lucy haven seen them live in 1996 I would have gave my left arm and left to have seen them back then.

I was thinking that but still did a great job :)

Meat has often been quite good at playback I have to say. He playbacked Blind as a Bat in 2006 (up until the very end when he did some ad lib) at the Royal Variety Performance and very hard to tell the difference but it definitely was the recorded vocal.

On a slightly different note watching Kasim again reminds me just how boring he is/was. Justin & Danny are a breath of fresh air.

Justin is just ridiculous on piano, so awesome. Shame his own music doesn't really interest me.

reminded me how much I disliked Kasim. Ugh glad that bore of an egofreak is gone and Danny is in his spot. Danny's just so much more awesome.

Ah Kasim what a man. I think very highly of him. He was such a big part of the NLE for me, not only a GREAT Bass player, but an amazing Backing Vocalist, you can clearly hear his BV's on Bat II and so on... And I've had the pleasure of meeting kasim.. And he is certainly not an Ego freak!!!

If I'd played bass on the best album of all time when I was 16, I'd probably have an ego too.

 He was 21 when he played on Bat (assuming that's what you mean  ).

He might have had a falling out with Meat (i'm not going to speculate because it's not my place, it's between him and Meat) but i'm very grateful to Kasim for his contibution over the years to Meat's studio worm and his live shows.

I've seen a number of Kasim's solo shows, and he has always been very gracious (and funny). I asked him to autograph my copy of Bat, and he told me that he was very proud of his work on the record.

Chris, I LOVE Meat's new NLE line-up, LOVE the new arrangements, sound etc. But I have no idea on what you base the epithets you hurled at Kasim. Any dealings I ever had with him were always kindly .. and if you're going to make a living in the entertainment industry when you finish college, I'd suggest less listening to Masculine, and more observation of how Meat talks about his colleagues, past and present. Mouse said, any possible falling out between him and Kasim is nowt to do with us .. and Meat is too wise to discuss it, or make negative comment. (And if you are thinking of comments made some time ago by Kasim .. leave them behind. Just as Meat has. Kasim made a great contribution when he was with the NLE. I respect that, even as I rejoice in the current line-up.

I dunno really its just how he comes off on his site and in general. I just never really liked him and thought he was and ill replacement for Bustlowe. His bass playing was never stand out

Ah, I was basing 16 on what Meat said in Sheffield! Honestly, that man. Next I'll be finding out he didn't really get his name from his fevered ramblings following a plane crash... ;)

Still, 16 or 21 he did a damn fine job that would have put many more seasoned musicians to shame.
