There goes the chance of Sony putting out a package with something we haven't seen many times before for another year.

All I know is I won't be buying it... Why don't they release unseen and unheard material!!??
Jesus christ Sony......
Bottline Line or El Macombo...... A two disk special edition with a remastered 1978 radio live show like the billy joel "Piano Man" special edition had.
This pisses me off.

Wasn't this exact special edition (minus the 3D cover) released a couple of years ago? If I can get it dirt cheap, I might pick it up for Dead Ringer on the DVD, since that was omitted on the eerily similar 25th Anniversary Edition, which I got dirt cheap just for the DVD.

I think I have about 4 copies of BOOH on both CD & Vinyl already. I certainly won't be buying this.
Releasing another BOOH re-issue you have got to be kidding me. It's the most flogged to death album at this stage.

8. Bolero [Nassau Col. 1978]

Read 'Em And Weep should be saved for when the whole of Dead Ringer finally gets remastered.
A 4 CD set with out-takes and alternate mixes on disc 2, the El Mocambo show on disc 3 and the Nassau show on disc 4 would be worth me handing some money over to Sony.

 It may be a rehash.
It might be a cash in.
But never, ever, refere to BAT as "cheap" :nope:
It'll be interesting to see how it does in the charts.
Actually, would it be eligable for the charts as it comes with a DVD?

Bloody hell, just seen it advertised on telly, nearly spat me whisky out, Meat Loaf album advertised??????
Gotta get the majority into BAT... again.. than the rest will fall in to line.. amen.
It's gonna sell ok I reckon? The tour will help it certainly.
Can't help but be a little disappointed with this one, primarily because I think Bat deserves more!
I appreciate that there might not be room to release any new/previously unheard materials like other artists have, but to me it seems criminal not to make the most of that stunning artwork...some kind of box-set maybe? I don't suppose there's much new content they could give us but it would have been nice to have something that's just a really beautiful object to mark the "end".
Wouldve been the perfect time for meat to go through his "little file" and give us a three disk 1988 Soundboard from the 10th anniversary BOOH Tour.......
THAT boxset would be Sooooooo worth it!
IMAGINE THIS BOXSET:
DISK 1: BAT OUT OF HELL REMASTERED
DISK 2: 10th Anniv. Tour Part 1 (frying pan, masculine, took the words, come in the night, originalsin/bfg, modern girl, dance in my pants)
DISK 3: 10th Anniv. Tour Part 2 (im gonna love her, lost boys, bat out of hell, two out of three, dead ringer)
DISK 4: 10th Anniv. Tour Part 3 (midnight, paradise, rock medley)
2 DVD SET- HITS OUT OF HELL (feat. UNRELEASED VIDEO ILL KILL YOU IF YOU DONT COME BACK) and THE UNRELEASED DEAD RINGER 1981 MOVIE

I appreciate that there might not be room to release any new/previously unheard materials like other artists haveI'm sure Sony has a few things tucked away.
THE UNRELEASED DEAD RINGER 1981 MOVIEAgain this would be more appropriate with a Dead Ringer reissue, although I think it should remain unreleased.
It's 5 on amazon uk sales chart? People are buying it? The cover is really cool, it was out in Ireland friday
Just seen the advert for this, the computer "graphics" are a bit naff but so brilliant to see it advertised with all the classic tracks, brilliant

First time I've seen the ad.
I honestly thought this was a re-issue of Bat Out Of Hell and not the re-vamped Bat Out Of Hell with DRFL on it.
In my humble opinion it isn't Bat with DRFL glued to the end.
For one reason or another I only have the re-vamped version on CD but will quite often stop listening once FCOL has finished.
DRFL, great song that it is, belongs to the DR album.
And that's final!!
For sure. Never understood the tacked on Bolero and Bat live.. I mean I get it.. but that album is solid as seven cuts/visions/songs. At least they could've made a double disc... a second disc with the live show from that era.

I just bought the CD/DVD today, haven`t got round to opening it, too busy :(
On the other hand, the weekend is coming ;)
Would it sound 3-D ? Methinks Of course, it's Bat Out Of Hell.
It's no.15 in the midweek charts

Could anyone who has a copy of this new special edition shed any light on who mastered the album? (I'm wondering if they used the same mastering as the 2001 version)
It's the same as the previous issue of Bat with the Hits Out Of Hell DVD. Mastered by Vic Anesini.

It`s ok, I never actually bought it 1st time around, so it is a nice addition to my small collection.
My other half, on the other hand, had the 24karat gold plated edition
Aww I remember buying the gold one! Got it in Edinburgh in 1999 ready for my first meet and greet...I remember it was about £20 and think that was expensive, what the hell did I know
Bat out of hell is back in the uk top 10!!!!!! New entry at 9.

I can understand people not liking re-releases or rehashes but rating this classic album 1 star on Amazon is utter mental madness. Those people belong in straight jackets. For anyone who hasn't bought the album yet buying the latest version makes perfect sense.
12 in the midweeks, so still going well

Eh? You mean the shit like a record company pressing new copies of a classic album that still sells pretty well 35 years later in updated packaging?
Damn them for making popular music available to the masses!
