Hi Y'all
I was thinking the other day about the Casa De Carne live CD, and how songs were chosen from different shows that occurred during the tour. I really enjoyed it as a new addition to my collection of live Meat Loaf material.
But we all know the state of things in 2008 - Meat's voice has recovered since then in leaps and bounds, and I read many-a-post about how he was remarkably, and consistently sounding much more like the 90's and early 00's Meat Loaf. So much excitement ensued, and I know from seeing a few shows of the tour that the energy and sound coming off the stage was indeed a transformation. Anyways, I'm rambling....So I got to thinking about how epic it would be if a compilation CD surfaced of songs taken from the best live shows of 2010-2011. Perhaps with the release of Brave & Crazy or the Christmas CD as a bundle?
Many of US went to a large number of the shows, so I thought it'd be a little fun to start compiling our own lists of what our ideal live compilation would be. Many of the 2010 videos are still up on youtube (shhhhh :P) so it shouldn't be too hard to form an opinion or refresh memories of the show you were able to attend
The setlist format should be as follows for your fantasy live compilation of songs from different 2010-2011 HCTB shows:
Hot Patootie - Gilford, New Hampshire - July 3, 2010
If It Ain't Broke (Break It) - Atlantic City, New Jersey - July 10, 2010
Bat Out Of Hell - Dallas, Texas - August 26, 2010
Peace on Earth - Cardiff, Wales - November 26, 2010
Living on the Outside - Cardiff, Wales - November 26, 2010
Los Angeloser - Sheffield, England - December 11, 2010
You Took the Words Right out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night) - London, England - December 7, 2010
So, for all who are interested, let the compliations begin :D
