Either it was postponed somehow cause of Hurricane Sandy. Or it really was the Romney thing. Unfortunately, I am with you that that was it. :shock: :? :twisted:

I note that he seems as committed to the album as ever, considering that he just released two substantial ones in about as many years, and he corrects me again. “See, there's where you're wrong,” he says with a chuckle, without expanding on the thought. Perhaps he's planning some kind of announcement, or working on a non-album project? “Wait until October,” he says. I press him further, but he remains tight-lipped. “There should be an announcement some time the end of October,” he says. “You'll find out then.”

This seems to imply it was something musical, even if nothing has shown up :S I swear I remember him saying somewhere that the entire thing was under wraps and he'd let us know "as soon as it clears." I have no idea where that was, though, so I can't back that up or prove I'm not imagining it. If that's true, maybe October was too optimistic a prediction and it isn't ready for an announcement yet?

No , just by the end of the Year... Everybody has been begging for another Story Tellers tour even VH1 ... So we are doing that tour before the end of the Year 2013 and maybe some weekends in 2014. Going to work on a XMAS album and working hard on something special but I can't talk about right now . The Minute it clears I will let you Know !!!

Just my two cents' worth but reckon the something big is still to come. I don't think either of those two things (Hagar or Romney) were remarkable enough that Meat would have built them up in his comment like that.

My guess is it is something that requires a contract and it is being held up because of that. I think that it is still coming but we have to be patient. I'm sure the last thing Meat wants is a premature announcement before everything is properly sorted.

I think it is something else which at the time he anticipated being able to announce late October. The fact that it is delayed makes me even more suspicious that maybe just maybe it involves Steinman. The only other thing I have wondered about is the pulling of so many youtube videos making me wonder if it is video related somehow, even though apparently he does not have rights to the VH1 stuff.

The fact that the "performance" was so obviously unrehearsed suggests that the Romney thing was put together very last minute.

As RA says, perhaps it's something that Meat wants to get set in stone before he tells us about it, just in case it doesn't come off. Last he thing he wants is a pissed off Wario ranting at him over another broken promise :wink: :lol:

Yes it did - a new tour and a new album - but we kind of knew this already.

He said previously there was going to be a Christmas album, then a new album, then a final tour in 2013 (after which point he would be 'out of your hair') where he was going to play BOOH in sequence.

Call me miserable (or pedantic, or worse) but its not exactly an announcement just confirmation ... :twisted:

I'm pleased its definitely not about Mitt Romney, but I was hoping it was about Jim Steinman ... :bleh:
