Thanks, Puritan!! Loved the interview.
Meat looks great!!! Wonder exactly when this was filmed. Was he in L.A. this morning?? He's due to play in Colorado this evening....Hmmmm...
Anyway, looking forward to this particular concert. Never been to the Universal Amphitheatre before. Should be a good audience!!
Thanks again for sharing the link!! Really enjoyed it!

Thanks for the link, it took me a while to realise why I couldn't get it working. I was blocking pop-ups  Got to agree, Meat looks good enough to eat.
I hope that Meat begins doing more of these interviews cause he hasn't really performed that many of them in the US as of late as he's been touring Europe. Good interview. Meat's always humerous.

And was the interview better for this mellow approach?
Yes in my opinion - I wish the recent GMTV early morning interviews over here in the UK had been more like this and less manic. Let's have more interviews like this please - there is a time and a place for the manic ones but early morning TV, in my opinion, is not it

So the Ms Murphy/Stoney fans still talk about Meat!

I haven't seen the GMTV one yet, so I can't comment on it :))
But I really enjoyed the mellow approach on this one. It reminded me of a wonderful interview he did in 1999 on the tv show called The View here in the US. Hopefully he'll appear on the show again when the CD comes out in September :)

Wow, what a great interview. I really enjoyed watching it. I love those retro style bowling shirts he seems to wear most of the time off stage.

Isn't The View the one with Barbara Walters and Star Jones and that lot? Wow, I wish I had seen that one! Sheesh, with all those women around he must have absolutely mesmerized them with his charms!

Okay-maybe I'm losing it, but I swear Meat looks younger than he did in 1999-I got to talk to him up close in TO-he looked great then, but, I swear he looks 10 yrs. younger now....what's his secret???
oh, and yes..I agree with the other ladies, he looks very scrumptious!

He definately has a power to make the ladies melt a bit, which in itself could draw him new, younger fans who may not have heard of him before seeing some of the promo appearances. Honestly, (a little off topic perhaps, but still relevant) I am such a James Taylor fan simply because I saw him on the Rosie show a few years ago and he was so charming and sweet that I felt that I had to give his music a chance. He had my head buzzing that day, and now I'm a big fan of JT- second only to ML! Those promo appearances can have a big effect!

That's great about JT .... I've heard he's a fantastic singer, but I didn't realize he's such a nice person too! You're definitely right about the promo appearances. I got hooked on Meat's music when he did Storytellers, but he really captured my heart when I saw him interviewed on Behind The Music and then The View :) Hopefully new promo appearances will help him attract new fans too ....
