 There are different ways to see how sunny it is that the beach.

A. Look at the weather report on TV. (it'll probably be wrong and you'll get soaked without getting within 20 ft of the sea).

B. Look at a picture of the beach taken through a mobile phone with a crap camera with dirt smeared on the lense.

C. Ask an Eskimo or someone from Death Valley (one will say it's the hottest he's ever been, the other will say it's bloody freezing).

D. Go to the beach and find out.

I've been over this one before.
That camera phone sounded tinny.
Can anybody say just how well the band were playing on the basis of that vid?
Or how well Meat sang?

Admittedly, I only skipped quickly through the vid for the highlights (it's 20 past 4 in the morning  ) but what I heard seems to have had the right notes in the right order.
I won't say it's awesome because the phone doesn't give great sound quality, but it all seemed to be there so i'm willing to give Meat, and the band, the benefit of the doubt.

I still don't buy this excuse. It may not be the best indication, but you can still tell it whether or not the performance was quality. You can hear what's in pitch and what's in time and what's not.

With that said, Meat's voice here actually reminds me of how it did in 2003-2004ish. Particularly with the energetic screams in all the right places (KILLERS ON THE BLOOD SHOT STREETS!). Sounds brilliant to me

Considering it is an amateur video recorded on a phone, I think Meat sounds damn good on this!

Can you tell me that you can hear how much of a good drummer John is, or how awesome Paul sounds live, based on that vid?

Would you hire either of them based on a clip that doesn't reflect what they really sound like?

You get some sort of idea of how it sounds, but the reality is a whole different level.

I've yet to see a mobile phone with a camera so good that it can improve what it's videoing, whereas most cameras on mobile phones can show a terrible quality version of events.

So putting rose coloured glasses over a mobile phone is a impossibility, but putting shit coloured lenses is a probability.
So if you can look at something through shit coloured glasses, and see something worth seeing, then it stands to reason that the real thing shows promise, no?

it was good, not one of the best versions out there of recent years. I love the one on the DVD much better.

I put this video up based on how I thought how amazing the passion is that Meat delivers. I think it's brilliant, and one of the best amateur recordings I've seen. I don't care how the camera/phone didn't pick up the sounds perfect. It's amateur, I knew this :-0! I loved it. It's YouTube, this is fan club! As a ML fan I've always loved his stage appearance, and how he goes for it! Love it. And he's voice is great here. :-) ps where can I get me some of those glasses? I like em' x

I think it sounds pretty good despite the video quality, which isn't horrible either.

It's not a bad version, I just had higher expectations because someone started a thread.

I was referring more to Meat specifically, because that's what a few of the comments above seemed to be about. That wasn't exceptionally clear in my post though, so my apologies  You're 100% right about not getting a good indication of John or Paul or anyone else who isn't at the forefront there. Meat is, though, and the fact that he wasn't half bad at all that night is pretty clear :-)
