I have read from many people here that the single is being re-released this Monday with a much bigger promotional campaign and all that sort of thing. But as many people have already mentioned while talking about the subject... I'm slightly confused.

Where is the promotional campaing??? Okay, the was Party in the Park, the Plymouth gig, talk sport radio and the odd advert... but thats not really a 'big' promotion...

For the random person to buy the single more would have been needed but there's nothing in the press, radio, tv, shops, and not much on the net to inform people about the new single (or re-release)...

I mean, one million people read the Sun newspaper alone every day. A few adds in there every couple of days would be a big positive without a doubt... even if only 1% of their readers picked up the single it would get a respectable chart position...

There are a million ideas that the promotion department of the record company seem to be over looking, or simply can't be arsed...

I'm sure the last thing we all need (the fans, Meat himself, his team, the record company) is for this to not even chart...

I can't remember the last time a Meat Loaf single was only in the charts for a week. Even 'The Very Best of' single lasted 3 weeks in the top 40...

Where is the promotion???

well there you go.........from what I can gather a promotional single was sent out to radio stations, (some of which endded up on ebay!)

My local HMV and independants don't know anything about the new release. There were a few TV ads on Sunday haven't seen any since I think some papers are carrying concert info thou'.

When I know That it is "officially" released I will start asking radio stations for it to be played meanwhile I have been asking for the current release and "classic" Loaf to keep his name/music in peoples minds.

US promo thread has loads of good ideas that we can use in the UK too.

I totally agree... we, the fans, always work our ass off to push singles/albums and do our best to help Meat, etc...

I was just wondering what the people who are getting paid to do it doing... I mean, record companies have Promotions Departments for a reason...
