View Full Version : SIX DAYS OF HANDBASKET #1: If God Could Talk
Thought this little activity could help us countdown to handbasket in a fun way!
Once a day, last thread will be posted on Saturday, ill be posting a thread dealing with a "panned" song (IE: a song that is panned by the majority and loved by a minority)
What you must do is listen to it and find something you LIKE about it. Anything at all.
So as for Me, even though I bashed IGCT in my disection of Bat 3, its chorus is kinda catchy now that Ive listened to it again. Also, the music is REALLY good. i sat back and listened to it and, although its has more flaws then Plan 9, I personally can see why those precious few (coughNEILcough) love it :)

I really liked it and again feel sad that Meat doesn't. It's an emotional song, and the vocals and music are excellant.

I don't agree the lyrics are crap. I think this song is hugely underrated, same as Cry Over Me.
What makes the lyrics crap iyo?

I recently re-listened to the whole of Bat 3 and continue to think that this is a cracking soft rock track. Well performed, well produced, and great to sing along to.

I agree I always thought that it was underrated and that it had a catchy chorus.
We all know Meat hates this album. Even though many of us love it. (Or most songs on it). Out of all the songs on BOOH3 why does Meat hate Alive? Strange? Even my 20 year old nephew loves it. Meat please explain.:??::?:-)
IGCT was one of the better tracks on the album. IMO.

Agreed. I've not listened to this song for a while but I've just replayed it, I like it. Meat sounds great and it is rather catchy.

I actually don't mind this song :) I like the intro and first verse especially. The emotion in them is incredible, and you can really connect with the fact that the character is haunted by the memories of his former lover.
I also like the line "even God knows baby that ain't right" in particular. Yeah it's corny and over-dramatic, but the way it's sang is awesome :)
AND the chorus. The chorus is catchy :P
