View Full Version : Being as the Hang Cool Tour is finished. Who did you prefer: Danny, Kasim, or Steve?
Last year a thread was made comparing Danny with Kasim, and it drew criticism that all of the UK fans hadn't had a chance to see Danny in action to compare him to Kasim fairly.
So now, with the Hang Cool Tour in the can and the GP tour underway in a month, who is the better bassist.
For me: Danny is a bassist like no other.

Agreed, Danny is the man
What about John Golden? Doesn't he get considered? Especially since he was around during the BBIS era that you love so much Chris ...

Danny is great. Danny, John, and Patti weren't showcased as much as some of the other members on this tour, but Danny is very talented and I was very impressed with his solos with Queen.

Doesn't make much of a difference to me personally. I thought Steve was great and kind of fitted the line up at the time, very rock n roll with the head scarf in the 90s.
Kasim's role as MD-ing seemed perhaps overrated to me as I didn't notice much of a difference to the arrangements last year and in fact thought the HCTB songs sounded perfect live so I'm not sure what he would have added/done differently if he had been on tour. Just seemed a bit of an "airy" title to give to the most senior member of the band on the last few tours.
Danny seems to fit the bill (and has a head scarf too) so rock on.
