View Full Version : IJWQ: Pandoras Box or Meat's version?
IJWQ is the only song on Pandora's box where im on the line.
Everything elese on Original Sin Meat has done, the Original Sin version is far superior imo
IJWQ however, I have to say its close.
But for me, Meat's version has a bit more passion in my humble opinion.
so for me, Meat's
Meat's version, no question.

I like both, but i think Meat's just edges it, though for some reason I prefer the Pandora's box guitar solo

Meat wins it every time on this one for me. Its my favourite song he's ever done and the only one I would ever call "Perfect" in every way.
They are both very good. Impossible to say which one I like the most.
Definitely Meat's version for me, there's something about that version takes me to a whole other place, there's so much atmosphere to it. I also think it's very well placed on the album as it follows on from R&R Dreams beautifully
I'm also on the line. Not sure =\

I do like Pandoras Box version. Meat's version is better though in my opinion. He sings it with so much passion, like everything he does. And as Lucy said, there is so much atmosphere to it, that it just brings you to another place.
wow for a poll that to me felt it had a point, it wasnt even close. wow.
IJWQ FTW
I can't personally decide, even today
I like them both to be honest.

 I like the intro to both in different ways.
The piano intro on Meat's version is very simple, almost careless.
There is an underlying tention on the Padora's Box version, that is also pretty good.
As for the vocal, there's only one answer to that
Elaine Caswell just doesn't hit that spot with me that much.
The instrumental at about 2:15 in is a little busy IMHO.That's not always a bad thing, but I prefare the simpler sound for this song.
On who whole it reminds me of the difference between Taylor Dayne's varsion of Original Sin (which I actually DO like a lot) and Meat's.
The better Original Sin betweem TD and Meat would be a much tougher question for me personally.
As for this, give me the Bat II version anyday 8)
