View Full Version : Celebrity Apprentice Upcoming Episodes Talk
didnt know where to put this, so ....
This thread is designated for talk of upcoming episodes.
For sunday, a new promo has been released for week 3.
Its worrying me. Busey is saying "settle down" to Meat in this one:

Busey is cool.

Good Lord, what a task, I'd find it hard to put enthusiasm in that.
Thanks for posting the link
I actually think Busey's cool too  and it's going to be very interesting seeing him as the project manager
I'm still trying to figure out why he's telling Meat to settle down (just dying of curiousity, not worried ) but we'll find out soon enough !
discovered this too, which hasnt been posted:

longer footage of Meat and Busey's outburst. notice - Jose is absent in the scene indicating his possible doom this sunday.
I thought The Apprentice is a "job interview"? Didn't know that it's advisable to behave like that in order to get a job.
U.S. TV is funny, they show an outburst but bleep out the cuss words. Can't recall ever hearing a bleep on the U.K. version.
The regular Apprentice is a job interview, but the celebrities already have jobs, they are doing it for charity.

Yes ... I noticed that too about Jose. It's going to be really interesting to see what happens this Sunday :-)
Not sure if this is a stupid question but, not being from the US, I don't know how it all works: Have all the episodes already been filmed or are they filmed just before they are aired? In other words, does Meat already know whether or not he won?

All of the regular episodes were already taped in October and November. We won't know who actually wins until the live season finale on May 22nd :-)
And guess who won't be at the finale? Richard Hatch has apparently just gone to jail. :raspberry: Ha ha sucked in!!!!!! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!!!! I bet David Cassidy will be doing cartwheels about now!!! :cheer:

Interesting .. thanks for posting the link Sarge. Somebody needs to knock some sense into Richard Hatch !
I apologize if this is a stupid question ... I've never watched the show before. Do all of the celebrities, including those who have been fired, appear on the live season finale :??: Or just the final two candidates :??:

Most of the contestants appear in the finale. I believe all are invited to appear. Some of previous commitments and can't make it. Others choose not to participate.

CCfan is correct. If they cant make it, a live feed will be provided. Gene Simmons was touring in Japan and appeared as a live feed for his CA Finale.
That being said, Lisa Rhinna, I highly doubt, would even be allowed to appear and doubt she would. Star Jones is pressing charges on her for harassment.

I wonder if David Cassidy will be there :??: Or if they'll end up having a live feed for Richard Hatch :??:

yeah, well all I can say is all I care about is Meat being there (which he most certainly will) and wins. Performing will be an added bonus. Hopefully him and john rich do their duet of two out of three they did at Rich's party :)

Did I say that? I am kidding of course. If that happens I am would never ever watch another edition of any Apprentice every again

I felt some empathy for Lisa during the the last show, but frankly have none for Star or her over the events of the last week. Neither seem to have ever taken to heart the adage "Still tongue in a wise head" and both seem to be more intent on being indignant than maintaining some dignity. Lisa slags off Star on Twitter (why do some people never learn, but use Twitter as if it's a conversation between friends rather than a window open to the world?) .. Star predictably starts throwing legal muscle about .. They're both behaving like squabbling children, but using the media to publicise their positions. Just daft imo, for it does nothing to enhance either's reputation, just emphasises a level of distasteful notoriety. If they were ten years old they'd be sent to bed without any supper; sadly as adults they just have the media dancing around and revelling in reporting it.

What's up with some people on that show? I thought it is about charity :saint:, can't they forget about their egos for a moment?

The men, all in all, seem to be doing a much better job of that than the woman. The men may have some squabbles and disgreements yet seem to be able to agree to disagree, put it behind them and get on with the task, remembering that in the end it is for charity. And no matter which charity it goes to, a win is a win for Team Backbone! Most of the women seem to be overly obsessed with making sure they get their credit to make their own self look good and forget that they are supposed to be working as a team.
It will be interesting to see Busey as Project Manager tomorrow tonight and see how it all plays out, with the Meat/Gary showdown. I saw a segment on Extra TV last nite that confirmed that that is supposed to take place this week. Of course i believe Extra TV about as much as I believe what is written in the National Enquirer. Just want Meat to do really well and make it to the final.

Really? Cause it looks like their painting something during the argument, and painting doesn't scream camping to me. Mark looked as if he was the project manager and Jose was absent.
Also, being as its been in every promo for the show, Id think that show down wouldve been featured in the promo for this upcoming episode.

I just noticed you've got your original user name back. I agree, the men seem to be handling it all a lot better, not so much bitching and backstabbing like on the women's side. Like you say they seem to forget they are supposed to be a team. It will be interesting to see how Gary Busey goes as project manager. I wonder who will be for the women, and if she'll get as little support as Lisa got.

Yes, I have my old user name back!. I get to be me again.
I think Nikki Tayor is the Project Manager this week. I don't know why I have that in my head though. And Star Jones keeps bossing her around. Maybe I dreamed it all? LOL I am going on Celebrity Apprentice info overload. We will find some of it out tomorrow night. And then have a whole new set of questions & speculation
The Harold didnt give away anything, but apperently:
"While the two hours lacks some of the fireworks from the first two episodes, it lays the explosives for the rest of the season. It may just contain the most surprising boardroom firing, though not for a reason you might guess."
http://www.bostonherald.com/entertainment/television/general/view/2011_0320trumps_apprentice_gives_off_tabloid_sheen/
 "fireworks", "explosives" .. media hype ;)
My take was, and remains, that for Meat to raise his voice to anyone he'll have had good reason. Last week when he was trying to get Busey to focus on what needed to be done and done right away, he used great patience and quiet skill, even in response to a very confrontational "Or what?" from Busey. What we've seen so far shows Meat working hard and well as an effective team member, and as a team leader managing his project through to success, and being a leader his team appreciated. To me that's more noteworthy .. and I'm looking forward to seeing more of that in tonight's episode :-) In much the same way as I concentrate on all that goes well in a concert, rather than watch like a hawk for a missed cue or note ;) He's doing really well on CA so far and I expect to see more of the same, and look forward to that.

Can`t watch the show here in Norway yet, but hopefully it will be out on You Tube tomorrow. Better late than never....
I`m so exited to hear about this tonight here on the net. Hope you all will write and tell about the show tonight. I`m waiting ;-)
Very true .. I'm looking forward to that too. But it's still fun to speculate
Yes, but to speculate about what though? A brief minute in one yet unseen episode when everyone was tired and Meat lost control for a moment or two? And something (in fact the one thing in the series) which he was really upset about afterwards? There are 13 episodes, and so far we've seen two in which everything Meat has done has been exemplary. I can understand the programme producers wanting to home in on any outburst .. it's clearly what they hope will happen; and it's the kind of thing the media love to hype. I'm just surprised that here we would want to put so much emphasis on it, and talk about Meat "confronting" as if it's something he does a lot of. I can't help but feel if there were other occasions they would have gleefully released footage of it. Last week Eric Trump claimed (rather inaccurately imo) that Meat and Gary were already "at each others' throats" .. something I didn't see, and if it were so I certainly wouldn't expect them to edit it out.
What I did see, and what impressed me was how well he managed an issue last week with Gary Busey, gently, skillfully and effectively. Meat's all about drive and focus on whatever he's doing. Busey seems to me to be someone whose focus keeps darting off at tangents, which must be frustrating for anyone who's very task-focused, but Meat managed the interaction extremely well. I'm not looking for him to trip up, and on his showing to date expect to see him manage himself through the series really well.
Caryl
I'm supporting Meat and rooting for him to do well in the rest of the show ..... just as I was extremely happy for both him and the Painted Turtle last week :-)
I was actually referring to the link that Warioloaf posted. Part of the fun, for me anyway, is speculating on who's going to get fired when, (will it be Jose tonight :??: or maybe one of the women :??:) and watching how all of the contestants, including Meat, interact with each other. I admit I started watching it only because I knew Meat was a contestant .. but now I'm hooked on the show and have been having fun and enjoying it.

Caryl
Caryl,
I have a conspiracy theory. We know that they had caught the "confrontation" between Meat/Gary but what if they had that footage then later inserted a convenient Eric Trump "interview" during episode 2 stating that they were at each other's throats already....possibly as a lead in to "THE" episode whenever it airs (as we know it'll be soon)? So far in the two episodes they have led us to an escalation. Maybe that's what makes good tv to them.
Of course, I don't see the "at each other's throats" comment as truthful, I just saw an exchange of problem solving...which doesn't mean they were at each other's throats. BUT the public has seen the promo's blasted all over NBC knowing Meat was angry. Like you said, they probably just fed off of that exchange and trying to highlight ANY moment between Meat and Gary to justify the drama.
What I like is that no one has really commented about the "at each other's throat thing" be it at Facebook or Twitter last week. They were only genuinely touched by an emotion filled Meat last week. To me that's a positive perception of how Meat is winning over people. :) Once this confrontation episode has passed (whenever that will be) then, we can see more of Meat's competitive drive and see where he takes us.
Yeah, conspiracy theory, I think there is much more behind the camera lens. I felt it during last week because of the whole address thing. I felt we were missing some details that lead you to believe Meat screwed up the drop off address. I don't think Meat was at fault, but the edits led you to believe that. But no boardroom mention of it and no harm, no foul. Ah the magic of TV.
Final thought, I think Gary Busey is difficult to manage but not an unmanageable person. All it takes is a different approach to him and Meat did that to get the job successfully completed. He was successful in managing Busey and successful in task.
I'm going on a fun ride with Celebrity Apprentice, trying not to take anything to seriously, because at the very least we know Meat was happy with how he did in the show.

Good point :-) I've seen pictures of Marlee (with Meat) later on in the competition, so she won't be fired  Hope is an excellent possibility though ...

I have seen that pic of Meat with Dave & Bennett b4. Great pic - love seeing Dave in there!
Yes, I am about to do some speculating here. That pic was taken very close to November 11, 2010. The task had something to do with a comedy show. we know that the pizza parlor task took place on or about October 10th. During the past 3 seasons of Celebrity Apprentice filming has usually taken place over about 30 days. Like i said, I am speculating. However things are looking very good for Meat based on that.

Oh I have no doubt about that. In fact I said when reviewing last week's episode that when Eric Trump described Meat and Busey to camera as being "at each others' throats" it showed very clearly that this is what they want to see happen, and was probably added to the final edit because of the later blip they knew was coming; a case of hindsight being used to vamp up the programme ..

It's always the problem when you see just small edits of an entire process. I was left with the impression that the real problem was that the women they were to meet were late rather than being sent to a wrong address . but we'll not know unless Meat tells us :-)
Final thought, I think Gary Busey is difficult to manage but not an unmanageable person.
I'd find that constant distraction in in his focus more than enough to test my patience  Meat managed it well.

I think Meat's the glue that holds his team together, and will hold whatever team he's in together. And we'll see him every week doing this up to and through the final episode; it's what he does, does really well, and what he does throughout the long days of every task.

I wonder if the teams will change down the line. Donald usually rearranges the teams halfway through the show.
I'm thinking the finale might come down to Meat and Star. I'm not at all a fan of Star's but she's so crafty, she will throw everyone else under the bus.
from the different sources and such my guess is the teams will be split this way:
La Toya
Lil Jon
John Rich
vs.
Marlee
Star
Meat
But that aint for a long time yet.

The teams usually do get rearranged at some point. Usually if one team loses several more members than the other. For example, if the men keep going on their winning ways and the ladies keep losing members, he will mix it up. Looking forward to it all

You are right, I have seen pics that indicate the teams being split that way. Not sure if the pics do show everyone involved on the team though. And I do know that for the final task, with the final two, the teams consist of previously fired constestants. The final Project Managers get to pick who they want on their team from the recently fired cast. You know Meat would pick John Rich if he could.

Yeah I was wondering that too, when it used to be on here, the teams usually got rearranged about halfway through, same with Survivor, and seeing that pic of Meat with Marlee it looks like they are on a team together. Be interesting to see how the women behave when they have a few men on their team. They won't put up with all their shit like the other wome have. I would really love to see some of those women pulled into line.

Actually they dont pick their teams, they are given two teammates of previously fired contestants.
The important thing is Meat's name is on the billboard of the comedy show, so that indicates hes a PM.
also with Dave Luther's presence, we might get a meat song performed live!

I was looking back on the info for the previous seasons. In at least 2 of the 3 past seasons, the final 2 did get to pick who they wanted on their team, based on a pre-selected group of the previously fired contestants. That was definitely the case for Season 1, a coin was flipped to see who would pick first. Each P.M. was allowed to pick 2 people. In Season 2, I know they were also allowed to pick who they wanted for their team. They were allowed to pick 3, which is why Joan Rivers, of course, chose her daughter, Melissa. I thought I remember Bret getting to pick his team of last season, however I haven't found anything to confirm it.
All this comes into play cause of the pic of the comedy show task that Dave Luther is a part of and how the teams are aligned at that point.

Youre right. I watched all the seasons and a lot just meshes. Last CA though, the teams were picked by random. thats the most recent one I watched all the way through. so theoretically Id say this year will be no different and its random.

Hopefully him and john rich do their duet of two out of three they did at Rich's party :)
With all due respect, I think performing "Two out of Three" would be a wasted promo opportunity. A lot of people will be watching the finale. It's the perfect opportunity for Meat, Patti and the guys to perform something new- either from HCTB or the upcoming HIAH.

from the different sources and such my guess is the teams will be split this way:
La Toya
Lil Jon
John Rich
vs.
Marlee
Star
Meat
But that aint for a long time yet.
Meat and Star on the same team would definitely be interesting!
Meat has been his supportive, caring self once again...

Nice to see him getting that kind of praise. Supports the widely held belief on here that Meat is a down to earth kinda guy with a big, big heart.

Couldn't agree more, Jay.
Next episode deals with Pirates and suntan lotion.
Predicting guys lose again and Gary goes the way of the dodo.

yeah, which is great to see. A disagreement, such as with some former band members (not that i intend to bring that up here :P) can easily make Meat look like the bad guy in some peoples eyes, not mine, but many fans on facebook questioning him. I've seen that before - where the person who was being fair or the most reasonable gets basically shit-talked by the worse offender. People don't know which side to believe, but justice usually prevails, eventually the true story will surface. I truly believe Meat is a great man, and that by just continuing to be himself, he will continue to stun to world, and prove his detractors wrong by his actions, which speaks volumes to me.
i believe in that saying - there is no such thing as bad publicity!!! i really do, i dont think Meat should worry about it.

Well there is .. just ask Angus Deayton!
However .. Meat has said he regrets what happened, I'm sure was expecting it to be covered in the news, and covered without reference to what led up to it or how well he dealt with the aftermath .. but also knows I'm sure that today's papers are tomorrow's fish and chip wrappings/budgie cage liners. He says he can laugh when he sees it now, and I'm sure has moved on, having nothing to worry about, and is as ever focused on what he's now doing with his usual drive and energy.

By the sounds of things, having not watched an episode myself yet, Meat is being true to himself and open. He has a goal in mind and he's doing this for the charity, not for himself and that is coming through loud and clear from all the write-ups I've seen so far. Focus on the goal, work hard and be true to yourself. Bob Dylan said "A man can consider himself a success if he wakes up in the morning, goes to bed at night and inbetween did exactly what he wanted to do".
Sounds like what Meat is doing right here.

Spot on. And gaining respect from his team mates for that, his skills and his support.
