This morning my local newspaper announced that Meat Loaf will be appearing at our community theatre, The Lancaster Performing Arts Center. OMIGOSH! I already had tickets for Universal City and Anaheim, and then find out today that he will be in my own town! I purchased second row seats this afternoon! The theatre is very small, not over 800 seats. I just want to say that this is one resident of The Antelope Valley that is absolutely thrilled that he is appearing here, and when I get over the shock I will be celebrating! Welcome to The Antelope Valley Meat Loaf!

Still not believing......

A few years ago, I was working in NYC on a Saturday and happend to hear on the radio that Meatloaf was playing Chelsea Piers for free to support the fight against breast cancer. I called a few friends who could not make the show- but there was probably 400-500 tops there and the Empire State Building was the back drop(in the distance of course). Was awesome for a huge Meat fan. I had a blast even though I went by myself. Was a beautiful summer night in New York and Meatloadf rallied support for the Fight against Breast Cancer.

Well..... I keep expecting someone to tell me that it is a joke... but I have the tickets, and yep, they say Meat Loaf on them. It is pretty hilarious when I think of how excited I was to get the first tickets in Anaheim, which is over a two hour drive from me actually.... and now he is going to be right in my own front yard.

It is a very nice theatre though, even if it is small. I am assuming the concert will be a bit different than the larger venues? I will post back about it afterwards, the Universal City concert is a week and a half prior so I will have attended a larger concert by then as well....

Unbelievable still!
