Thanks Suzie I saw that and replied to you, but can't figure out how to follow it. And it won't change my photo for me which is really pissing me off!!!!! While I was there, I decided to follow Charlie Sheen too.

I see a couple #TeamLoaf tags....let's do this!!!! Remember, reference @realmeatloaf and @ApprenticeNBC - that helps whoever monitors Meat's twitter and the Apprentice twitter see the support.

if i was part of mr loafs management team, i would want to have a song, complete with clips from the show and/or clips of the charities work on youtube right now!!!
personally id go with if it rains, and there are so many clips available it would really be easy to do... facebook and twitter of course are the other important options
but to not have an official youtube vid at such a major promo opportunity is just plain commercial suicide i reckon (even though that may have not been meats reason for appearing, its an amateur move if his record company/management don't maximise this chance)

I absolutely agree with you !
@ Carole do you have twitter? what is your name there? all you do is copy this: RT #TeamLoaf to support Meat Loaf for Celebrity Apprentice 2011. @RealMeatLoaf @Apprentice NBC
put that in your status bar. Then RT any other people you see using the #TeamLoaf on twitter. :))) Have fun and happy trending.
Ok here's a really dumb question. I replied to your tweet but how do I get the #TeamLoaf to show up next to my name?
Carole
@Carole no dumb question. You have to type #TeamLoaf into your status bar. It's not something you folllow ...it's just something you do to get the topic to trend. If you see other's status on your home page with a tag of #TeamLoaf then just click retweet.
'
Thanks Suzie, next dumb question where is the status bar? I tried retweeting but it still doesn't show. I hate modern technology!!!

Yahoo! Just under 3 hours until til the Gary Busey/Meat showdown starts here on Celebrity Apprentice. It's gonna be crazy good.
This a link if you want to watch it outside the US: http://www.howtowatchnbc.info
You do have to pay a fee. I have to thank Vicki for finding & posting the link initially on the #TeamLoaf page on Facebook

Been busy today, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Ok...the box where to type stuff into. It says "What's Happening?" right above the box.
You're welcome Cathy .. I hope it works
Well I'm doing my bit - I just ordered a pizza, lol!
(Cannot WAIT for the show to start!
WOW...I just read this ENTIRE 11 page thread, because I watched CA for the first time tonight to see Meat. I thought it was GREAT...and there were a lot of personality conflicts, especially among the women. The only "beating" seemed to be on David Cassidy for trying to give suggestions/opinions. I know he got DUI shortly after the taping... how sad.
Meats response about basically beating a dead horse over and over was even sadder. Unfortunately, I know ALL to well what that feels like...but I did notice...there were NO MORE posts about it after THAT...and I can't help but wonder if there is an ENTIRE ML collection for sale on e-bay now! ;) It was ridiculous to keep rehashing something that we don't even know the facts about....STILL.
I think it will be next episode when Meat is project leader. Pressure. Sometimes us humans tend to lose our tempers under pressure...and then we regret it. I've seen a clip where Meat is upset and remorseful.
Gary is, to say the least, a little off. I read somewhere he had an accident and suffered a brain injury. I work with traumatic brain injury patients on a daily basis...it certainly has an effect on personality...which is why I'm quite certain that may be the reason Meat felt bad afterward...or just simply because he's HUMAN. I've lashed out at my CHILDREN...am I proud to admit that?? Hell NO. Do I wish I could magically erase some things I've said or done under pressure? You bet. I can't. Meat can't. As far as I know....NO-ONE can.
I thought the show was GREAT...I can't wait to see next week, I think it will finally give us answers & insight to this Meat/Gary saga...and CLOSURE. Move on...can't change the past, live in the present, and look forward to the FUTURE.
I know I'm just a rookie here...but I also know the focus of this show should be the FACT that Meat did this for a GREAT Charity, I believe the SAME charity he did DFTL for...the painted turtle. Not all Celeb's WORK for charity. I saw the show...Meat WORKED.
WTG Meat!!! & Congrats on the news of Pearl & Ian! :))

if mr loaf does get to perform, the smart bet would be to pick a hang cool song... which ever one the record company/promoters/media gets behind if the album is getting rereleased.
(i still think if it rains would make a fine song to releaase)
Why rerelease HCTB? If more people become interested in the album, it's already available everywhere for them to purchase. Unless there is something significantly different like some different versions of the songs (like IICHY w/ Patti's vocals. From soundcheck, everyone should get to hear her awesome version.) I don't really see a need to rerelease HCTB just to add PFL because the song was already a free download.

Way to go Karen! YOu said everything perfectly. Your info about working with people with brain injuries has given some insight into Gary Busey. Donald Trump has said that Gary is a very intelligent man.
I agree that, yes, we all lash out @ sometime and are never proud of it. Meat is an intense, passionate emotional person. It seems that he shows all of those very human traits on the show.
I can't wait for next week when he is Project Manager. I am pretty sure that his team wins - am hoping anyway. He said that he won alot of money for his wonderful charity The Painted Turtle, the same one that he played for on Don't Forget The Lyrics. In order for your charity to win money, your team has to win and you have to be the P.M. for that task.
Go Meat.

no , because it will be added to the album, along with spoken parts of the short story before some songs ,(for those who don't read) the way it is live. then put on i tunes. This show isn't over. if we get airplay . they will re-lease.
only in America right now !!

It would be great to have an itunes version with PFL included. I hope a couple extra tracks are also included like the soundcheck of IICHY and LAR. Since we didn't get to hear the songs in concert, it would be a real treat for fans to hear the soundcheck/rehearsal versions. I think it would sell more downloads too.
I'd warn against signing up for the howtowatchnbc.info link given above. I did and am still waiting for info to use what I paid for. The "continue" button after you've paid just leads to a "not available" page, and Suzie's link for free viewing outside the USA worls just fine

I'm still happy for Meat winning money for his charity, but still have no desire to watch the show. I am looking forward to next week's announcement of who will be appearing on Dancing With The Stars. I like that show very much.

Promo for the upcoming Meat / Busey Fight next week:
lUbOsTnfvE8
LOL maybe Busey put a bootleg video on youtube or an old pic of Meat Loaf without a frill shirt... just sayin'
Probably. :lawl: What the hell is going on there? Busey doesn't say anything and seems to stay totally cool while Meat is screaming and looking as if he is about to trash the whole place. Strangely, I'm not eager to find out what the cause was. I think I'll give the episode a miss. Maybe I've just gotten tired of outbursts. Well, at least this one is for charity. :saint:
I would think that Busey must have done or said something pretty provocative for Meat to get THAT angry. I know Meat loses his temper sometimes (as we all do), but there must have been something pretty serious to make him lose his temper that much, especially in front of the camera. Not much longer and we will all be able to stop speculating!
my view of what will go down:

Ok, i am going to give my opinion, straight up. Certain people will tear me apart for it, of course. I don't find that this pic funny or amusing at all, especially knowing how Meat feels about the whole incident. I think it is insensitive, cruel, inappropriate and should not even be allowed to stay up on his site here. I am not laughing at all. It almost makes me want to cry. That is just my opinion. And now all you naysayers are welcome to tear me apart. My opinion still won't change

It is really a shame that his whole situation got clearly blown way over the top. The way it was edited and such did make it seem way worse. Anybody who gets their buttons pushed like that would snap. I know I would have... It is about working together as a team for charity. Not for ratings.
It is a shame that the media has taken this whole thing to another level. Not surprised though. After working in the film industry for close to 15 years very little surprises me.
Anyhow, good for you Meat for standing up for yourself. :-) Hang tuff the media will get bored and move on.

Great post, i totally agree. Although I'm ok with the media not moving on quite yet...it may be crap exposure, but it puts Meat in the spotlight of North Americans who likely haven't seen or heard from him in awhile, and that can only be a good thing. Everyone knows reality tv isn't reality, its tweaked for ratings, and i doubt most people who possesses a thinking cap will judge him that bad in the long run.
in case anybody hasn't said, Meat's situation with Busey was on the TV show the TV show, Conan, for me its on the Comedy Network. They made a little spoof about reasons why 'Reasons why China is kicking our ass.' (United States)
And they showed Meat screaming at Busey from the Apprentice. Which in reaction I found rather amusing, but was curious too. After the show I just asked myself, how can they not air the apprentice music on the show 'Conan' but they could use that clip? Perhaps cause it was on YouTube this week?
After the show I just asked myself, how can they not air the apprentice music on the show 'Conan' but they could use that clip? Perhaps cause it was on YouTube this week?
Because it's the tv reality crap people lovvvvvvvvvvve ... and it's disgusting, imo... and in reality, people viewing this crap would NEVER live with it in their own homes in reality !!! I must say, I laugh at Gary Busey. I find him the comedy relief on this show, however... I'd NEVER want him to work in my office !!! The only reason I'm watching this show is because Meat is on it. The "reality" show I do watch and enjoy is Dancing With The Stars ... I don't see/ hear backstabbing and screeching on it... People may get frustrated trying to get down a routine properly and kvetch a bit, but they work hard and the end result is entertainment.
PS... Barbara Walters on The View said after viewing Meat's outburst that HE should have been fired ...
It is really a shame that his whole situation got clearly blown way over the top .... It is about working together as a team for charity. Not for ratings.
From the contestants' view, yes, and that's why feelings run high as the teams work under pressure on unfamilar tasks. The producers chase ratings. Meat having said that the bag of paints JR found and taken to be his were in fact Busey's was illuminating. One could be forgiven for wondering how far the situation may have been contrived by producers who, having observed Meat Loaf managing his growing frustration with Busey during the first four tasks, were hoping to provoke a confrontation that would achieve exactly the pubicity it did.
As you say, it's a shame that the media has taken it to another level, and also that their column inches are devoted solely to Meat's momentary loss of temper when, under pressure, his buttons were pushed once too often, and none to his sincere and heartfelt apology afterwards, or that he made no excuses or self-justification later in the boardroom, both of which are more a measure of the man .. I doubt they get any reference in the TV shows which have been mentioned here either, but would have provided the more fair and balanced picture of Meat which I would like to see given to America's huddled masses.
But that's the media, I doubt Meat is surprised, and as you say, they will get bored and move on. As will Meat move on to more success in the programme, and continued success in all he does.

She's probably still pished she couldn't get Meat to cry when he was on her show promoting his bio years back... I got so angry at her when she did that insincere, rating-grabbing quiet way of speaking of hers when she asked about an incident with Meat's father ... bah !

It's silly tv which I'm not a fan of. It's a crazy outburst over some freaking paint. No matter how it's edited it's painful to see. :(
Not sure what the intention of the producers of this show are, all I know is what my friends think of Meat Loaf now. Which is not that positive. And from that outburst I can't even blame them.
Silly silly (worthless) tv. bah
As far as the producers go, it's all about the ratings.
If people have been watching the episodes up until this point, they would see that Meat (and the rest of the team) had been extremely patient with Gary. It was the straw that broke the camel's back ... not just a silly outburst over some paint. It happens to the best of us ... Meat is a human being afterall
Meat apologized to Gary ... Gary accepted, and they were able to put it behind them for the sake of the team. Meat is doing great on the show, earning a lot of money for a very worthy cause .. IMO that is what people need to get back to focusing on. And I'm sure this will all blow over once we see the next big fight (between NeNe and Star ).

My son watched the show and he thought Gary stole your paints. But he was completely taken aback by your apology to Gary. He was more impressed with the apology and even commented that you really didn't have to, but clearly it took a big man to do that.
You just gained a fan, and one that is 14, bit of an accomplishment in itself.

i have to say I think the jimmy kimmel video got it spot on and maybe break downs and wild rants are flavour of the month thanks to Charlie Sheen but it just comes across as absolutely pointless from Meat's point of view and I don't think editing has anything to do with it.
c'mon Meat you're better than a rant filled with expletives just to get yourself on prime time television.

whatever meat does, someone's always going to critique it. He's damned if he tries something new, and he's damned if he does nothing. so you know what? lets just go along for the ride and see if anything good comes from the Apprentice in the long run.

I wholeheartedly agree Vicki, anyone would think it was the only time anyone ever lost their temper on TV. I'm actually quite surprised no one went off at him earlier. People are so focused on that, and not on the apology and are assuming Meat was still in the wrong because they 'magically' turned up and assume that they were Meat's and he went on about nothing. They don't bother to say how he sincerely apologised and are forgetting the big picture, how much money is being raised for the charities.

True .... but a lot of good has already come from the Apprentice.
Meat has earned a lot of money and brought awareness to a very worthy cause :-) And that's what this should be all about

I mean absolutely no disrespect ... but IMO you can't base this just on the Jimmy Kimmel video. You really need to watch all of the episodes up to this point to understand what happened

OK here it is , I had been the one baby sitting Gary with John Rich. He started a fight the night before with Lil John, Richard Hatch, Star Jones, and Mark. He tried to start with me again and I walked away for the third time. He grabbed me in the store had taken things out of my basket, never lifted a hand to help the team unload the truck into the paint shop.
from the art store. If you think I yelled for attention, boy do you not know who I am. I try to do everything to keep attention away from me. Gary made everyone on the team crazy from day one. Had fights with everyone everyday. I had slept for 4 hours when that all went down. What Gary had done that morning to the whole team was just absurd. The whole team was ready to kill him. Yes , I had a right to be mad, but I was wrong taking it that far. I said the wrong things. I don't remember now who wrote I did it for attention , let me tell you I don't need that kind of attention !!!

It's all cool. Anyone can see that the show is cut to pieces before it goes out to represent events the way the producers/network want them represented. And those that can't ... I guess they're the ones still trying to work out what the chorus to Anything For Love means!!

Thanks for clarifying all that Meat, I've been saying all along that there would have been things going on behind the scenes which we never got to see. You and the rest of the team have been very patient with Gary and I'm surprised no one blew their top at him a lot earlier. My opinion is that I'm used to hearing the F word from you. It wasn't that you lost your temper, someone was going to, it just happened to be you. It was the MF word that myself and my co-workers were kind of shocked at hearing. Not defending your actions and Gary's but he just doesn't understand how he's making everyone so crazy. The tramatic brain injury that he sustain is part of the answer of why he acts the way he does. The most touching part of this show was that you apologized to him for loosing your temper. You were the bigger man to admit that you were half wrong. They have to show only the bad parts or else nobody would be watching the show.
Thanks for clarifying that for us Meat.

It's been increasingly obvious that Gary's lack of focus rambling, and tendency to disrupt the group have been irritating to all of you, and also that something we didn't see had put you to the point where he was standing on your last nerve, so thanks for posting, but you shouldn't need to expain to friends. Meat, I was never in any doubt that there was a very good reason why you lost it like you did. I know you well enough by now to know that you would not behave that way 'just for attention'. People who watch these reality shows must surely know that they are edited in a way that makes for 'better' TV. Us fans who know the person that you really are have not been fooled into thinking that we were wrong about you. I've been your fan for the last 25 years and no reality show is going to change that!
lets just go along for the ride and see if anything good comes from the Apprentice in the long run.
Sorry for being a "negative" spoilsport but I have to reject that invitation. I "went along for the ride" long enough and unfortunately it hasn't been a pleasant experience anymore recently, not only because of what happened on TV last weekend. I still think that Meat Loaf is an awesome singer and actor but when it comes to certain... er... other things... :silence: I feel stupid to have followed him for that many years. I guess this is the moment for me to jump off. Meat won't mind.
I agree with Adje and allrevvedup, the tantrum was crazy and pointless. You can't blame the language that was used and the unacceptable threats on editing. Whatever Busey did, there is NO justification and no "very good reason" for such a behavior. Well, at least it served for a good laugh on Kimmel and might beat Joan Rivers' "pokah playa" tirade. Well done! :))

Meat said tonight that he had a right to be mad, but that he was wrong taking it that far. That's fair and it's honest. He regretted it, and he apologised. That's human, so I don't feel stupid to have followed a remarkable human being for many years, nor for continuing as I will. Imo there were perfectly understandable reasons why Meat had had enough, and he has owned to making a mistake in losing it to the extent he did. Most of us will make mistakes, and taking responsibility for them is what counts with me, and is something I admire, because it takes both honesty and courage.
I too am looking forward to seeing Cap'n Meat .. with or without parrot on broad shoulder ;)

Thank you so much for telling us that Meat. :-) I had a gut feeling that Gary had annoyed everyone. You were very patient with him...more than I would have been. Huge kudos to you for not taking anymore from him. Being tired and putting up with that sort of craziness would be to much for anyone.
As for anyone saying that you did that for attention. All I can say is...really??really? I don't think so. Things happen in the heat of the moment. People have to realize that you are human and yes you have your limits. The fact that the cameras were rolling went it happened is unfortunate. Great for ratings yes but unfortunate. Being on set working long hours takes it's toll. Having a bad temper doesn't make you a bad person...my temper is bad too.
My 2 cents. Don't sweat the small stuff. Things like this happen. The media will have their fun. People with say what they will. True fans will still love you.
Hang tuff big guy,

Interesting, anything you say or do is justified (point of view) , but my actions can never be. Wow !! The first sentence of the post you posted concerns me greatly. I bolded it. It sounds as if you were bating Meat to post what he posted.
He doesn't need his fans publicly doing this. this isnt the place for that.
In all honesty, The press thinking meat looked like a pedophile during paradise in 2007 was worse then this.
Meat made Reality TV History! Ten Million years from now, itll still be on the top 100 Reality Moments of all time. thats a huge plus :)
This is the second time this week that I have agreed with you completely.
M
I know!!
I've had people who have asked me upon seeing the Meat Loaf t-shirts that I wear with such pride how I can be a fan of such an 'awful person' and my reply to that is always 'Do you know him? Have you met him?' and their answer is always 'no'. A lot of people who are giving an opinion have based that opinion from what the media have said and we all know what the media are like. They don't know anything.
I tell these people about how pleasant and down to earth Meat was at the M&G but they are still focusing on that one moment.
We all lose our temper from time to time but how many of us are unlucky enough to have it captured on camera, aired on national prime time television and reported in newspapers in other countries? The media forget that celebrities are only human.
I'm a fan of Meat, not only for his music but because of the kind of person he is. If he needs the support of his fans right now then I'll do whatever I can to give him that support.
I don't think you are a bad person or a "jerk" at all, Meat. That's why I have an issue with certain incidents and it saddens me to read about events like the one mentioned by Skybird14 in the post above. It's just getting harder and harder to follow you and enjoy your work. I just don't like the way you express your anger (in general; forget about Busey for a moment). It's beginning to spoil everything I like about you.
By the way, I'm not "defending" myself. I just have an opinion that is different from that of other users of this board.
P.S.: Maybe you'll be glad to hear that my computer crashed while composing this message. And now I have to find Gary Busey's website and find out if I'm really like him as Mr. Fire Ball claims. Unfortunately I haven't managed to create acronyms the way Busey does yet.

I like Meat. I'm sure he's pretty cool. Met him in 1996 and the guy blew me away in concert. R E S P E C T Everyone can get pissed off, especially when someone is pushing you that far. Everyone has their one personnality. At least the guy has one.
I agree with Adje and allrevvedup, the tantrum was crazy ..... there is NO justification ..... for such a behavior.
Which is precisely what Meat himself stood up like a man and said, on the programme, in interviews, and here. As one of the "friends" you probably consider "constantly and unconditionally flatter" Meat I think that should be enough; it certainly is for me and for most of us.
To err is human, I've done it many times. To stand up like a man, admit it and apologise is admirable, and makes understanding, accepting and forgiving easy rather than divine.
To respond with a public announcement of a (second) departure due to disillusionment seems odd, unless it's to bait a response from the person you say you're walking away from, in which case an objective was presumably met. Saying you feel foolish for having followed him for so long is bound to make him feel he's being found wanting and put down, because it's simply not the kind of thing to say to anyone in front of an audience, though of course here it could be anticipated to provoke a reply which will keep the door open to continue to elaborate on why you feel him wanting.

Right.
Can we leave it here please? Everyone has said their piece and made their point and posts are starting to get a little too personal with some unfounded accusations starting to appear. To go over it again and again and again will become boring and repetitive for many, and will result in more locked threads and deleted posts which we've managed to avoid recently.
Consider your right of reply to recent posts in this thread suspended. If you have something to say in response, then think about using PMs.

Thanks, Andy. Reading all this has made my tummy hurt ... xo

It didn't prove you point. There are things you have gotten tired of, now that's funny. If you ever make a bad mistake , I would hope that people would be able to forgive you. You proved my point about who you are as a person. Believe me being a jaded unforgiving person is no compliment. You can have a mind of your own. it's the heartless part I don't get. I'm glad I could find it in my heart to say I'm sorry to Gary and all the other cast members . I am still friends with all of them, just talked to lil Jon and Marlee today. Marlee wants me to be her date at an awards show on Sunday. You think that would happen if I am the bad guy you make me out to be. You may think you have proven your point that I'm a bad MAN, but you don't know me . Why people work with me for 20 years , why .because I am kind , polite, have very good manors and 99.7% of the time one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. When people come backstage to meet and greets they see the real me . not a Phony. If you would have spoken your mind on another web site you would have never heard from me. by the the way I didn't drive you away , you (read between lines) said "Meat is Jerk" , So I will take my ball and go away because I made a mistake being a Meat Loaf fan. Trust me I'm not proving your point. Like I said we know who and what you are now. !!! You can not defend yourself. You dug your on hole. !!!
This whole "Meat as the BAD GUY" simply shows the magic of editing. CA obviously shoots hours and hours of footage for the show. I'm sure that most of it ends up on the cutting room floor. The Meat vs Gary made for great theater (TV)....and the promo clips certainly helped get viewers. I've had the experience of meeting Meat backstage....AFTER a show this past January. He was totally drained and exhausted. If EVER a guy had the right to tell my wife and I that he was too tired to see us, it was him on that night. However, he graciously took the time to talk with us, pose for a few pictures, and then hop a bus to Baltimore. This guy is as real as it gets! What everyone saw last Sunday night was compelling TV......not a true reflection of the man. I think it's great that Meat takes the time to explain what does and has gone on behind the scenes. The explanation of what went on with the "hidden television" in the camper episode is a great example.

I don't think that Meat came off as "The Bad Guy" in celebrity apprentice at all. Not even slightly. Everyone in that room was on his side. The show is heavily edited, everyone knows this, everyone can see it just by watching. I'd be writing the same thing even if it wasn't Meat.

If I was going to be hurling a wet paint-covered ball down on an art canvass with a splattering thunk I think I'd remove my nice leather shoes ;) You can clean paint off your feet without spoiling them :-)
Or perhaps the creative process is aided by being shoeless .. :-)

I totally agree. I've lost count of the number of times that I have 'defended' Meat and fought his corner, when people have made stupid, shallow, uneducated comments about someone that they don't even know! Grrrr, it makes me SO mad! If you don't know what you're talking about, then shut the hell up!

Ok, first post so hope I don't mess up too badly.
As far as the whole incident, I tell my kids the fighting isn't as important as how you act after. I have 3 kids ages 15 (boy), almost 14 and 8 (girls) so lots of fights. I push accepting their wrongs and apologizing strongly and for them to see someone they respect greatly accept what they did and make it right was a great learning tool.
Furthermore, I also made it clear to them when they automatically presumed Meat went overboard that we don't know the back story and when it was learned, told them. Yeah, they saw everything much differently after.
So no matter what the nay-sayers say, my kids learned a valuable moral lesson.

Guys,
My favourite radio station has got hold of the clip of Meat "Expressing himself" at Gary, they posted it on Facebook, but I am at work & can not post that link, but if you look on my wall I have posted on a page called "The Bunch" They just haven't really explained anything & people are getting the wrong idea.
Here is a link to the vid on the radio's web page, you can comment on it there too. Please help convey the truth if you can!
Thanks

The issue you can have with all of this is that it is a soundbyte and they have been making the media world go around for a long long time.
regardless of whether it was taken out of context, the clip of Meat constantly swearing will be deemed as him 'losing it' and make Busey look like the innocent party and that's what those who don't watch the show will see.
I don't watch the show but have read what the majority of you who do watch it, have said.
At the end of it all there's nothing else that can be done about it and besides there's no such thing as bad publicity.
totally agree, no such thing as bad promo. its alot of attention for a fight? but its gone worldwide, crazy:D
Thanks for the link Mel, I left my comment.

Is Gary putting on an act in Celebrity Apprentice just to drive his teammates crazy? I saw him on some talk show and he seemed rather composed and coherent.
