I think you're thinking of the Twelve Inch Remixes (http://mljs.evilnickname.org/meatloaf/singles/twelveinchmixes.html) EP. IIRC, Mix Out of Hell (http://www.discogs.com/Meat-Loaf-Mix-Out-Of-Hell/release/1729052) is a bootleg with unauthorized remixes.

they're crappy home-made extended edits with cheapo Hallowe'en sound effects over the top. Completely pointless. I bought a copy from a market stall in around 1994/5 and listened to it once
You voluntarily paid £18 plus postage for a boot/compilation album?
I think this place has started getting to people's heads...

 I'm sure much more has been spent on much less  .
It's all a matter of perspectivem, and if Kev was led to believe that this was a rare official CD of alternate edits (something like the 12" mixes CD), £18 would be pretty cheap.
It's all down to perspective at the end of the day.

I can't be arsed going through all the posts, but didn't someone spend a small fortune on a fake Meat Loaf gold disc not long ago?

They have had the shit beaten out of them. It was then rolled into a flat sheet, cut into circles, put into CD cases and sold on ebay ...

Erm...no :))
come to think of it, listening to this...
its really your own fault for buying this Kev. Its clearly called "Mix out of Hell". cant get a much more straight forward title then that....
Yeah to be fair the clue was in the title!
Not really, it could have been anything! I was half expecting all the radio/single edits of the tracks for some reason.

You could say that about "Chat Out of Hell", but it didn't stop me buying it ...

It's OK Dave, I was given mine by someone who had bought more than one copy!
CHat out of hell was a very interesting cd to be honest. I learned a lot. and I also learned of meat's hatred for S&M

I don't think there's hardly anything Meat Loaf/Steinman related where someone on here hasn't got it, a simple asking around would probably save people a lot of money.

Not at all :nope: he'd be one of the last people I'd listen to as he's not exactly unbiased ;)

I know of at least three occasions where Meat has been asked to sign an official record/cd or some other piece of official merchandise and he's not known of its existance prior to that moment.

I was talking about his "provate collection"

That makes even less sense  First of all you have no idea what he has or hasn't in his 'private collection' and as Andy pointed out, there's things out there that he isn't even aware of, yet some fans are. They are the stuff people like Kev collects and from time to time get ripped off because they're a pile of stinking shit.

I'd given up a while back on picking up Meaty stuff, don't have the time anymore and funds are used in better places.
I've sold it now for £10 so some other unlucky person can have the pleasure of it hah :)

happens all the time, I've met a few famous people and they have asked me where something I got signed came from. Most of them seem to let someone else handle it, I suppose their managers.
