View Full Version : Your Favorite Music Videos ... That never were
What song(s) do you wish had a music video?
Personally:
Midnight at the lost and Found - god Why wasn't a video ever made???
Bad Attitude - Meat and Roger D together man. Thats where its at
Dont Leave Your Mark on Me - This song may not be the best but it pants a creepy haunted house picture that a scary video could have benefited from.
Cheating In Your Dreams - again, not the best song but still the whole thing with Meat's character murdering his girlfriend would be interesting to see.
Execution Day - this would have been epic. Just epic.
Masculine - god this isn't just cause I love this song. Its cause whether you like it or not, this would've made a funny ass video.
A Time For Heroes - A music video to go along with this single was desperately needed
Life Is A Lemon - I think Michael Bay could've pumped out this last one. he probably would have too if the single was really released outside promo disks.
Where The Rubber Meets The Road - Missed opportunity :(
Testify - WHY God. WHY NO VIDEO? let alone single release...
Blind as a Bat - Tragic part is ... it almost happened
Break It - regardless, would've made a rockin video
California - yea. I said it. IMAGINE A CALIFORNIA MUSIC VIDEO.
Elvis In Vegas - I think this has MV written all over it. may not be a good single, but it would be a great video.
how about you? :|

For Crying Out Loud - Would have been a very epic video
Don't Leave Your Mark On Me - I agree with Wario on this it could have been a creepy vid shot in a creepy old house but I think it would have mad a good single
Standing On The Outside - Why there was not a proper video for this I'll never know!! could have been amazing imo.
A Time For Heroes - once again I agree with Wario on this. A music video to go along with this single was desperately needed
Life Is A Lemon - what a shame there was not a video mad for this it could have been epic
I Don't Know What It Is - damn what were they thinking this would have done really good if it was a single and a vid would have been epic imo
Left In The Dark - wow what a masterpiece!! it should have been a single with a really good vid
Original Sin - why this wasn't a single I'll never know but a video would be very good
Man Of Steel - they should have mad a video worthy for this song instead of the steaming turd that they call a video
Because Of You - Very catchy upbeat up to date song I think it would have done very good
Love You Out Loud - could have been a good single imo. I imagined the video could be like Madonna's Ray of light video.
Blind As A Bat - I really get pissed every time I think about them almost releasing this as a single and then turning around and f-cking up and not doing it what a shame!! It could have been epic and the single I think would have done very good
If God Could Talk - again a very catchy upbeat up to date song would make a good video
The Monster Is Loose - they should have mad a proper vid for this could have been good
Now for the Colossal F-ck up we call the promotion for HCTB
Peace On Earth - should have been a video for this song!!
Song Of Madness - why in the hell was there not a video for this epic masterpiece of a song? and why was it not a single? I imagined a video for this similar to The Lord Of The Rings really epic scenes but with Meat being the King/servant or whatever, and the Queen/conniving bitch which Patti would play
Did You Ever Love Somebody - like it or not but I think this could have been a good single and video
Lets Be In Love - could be a good single and a really good video
Love Is Not Real - could have been a really epic video
WOW I think this is the longest post I've ever done:lol:
For Crying Out Loud - it's epic in every sense of the word and I would have loved to see a music video for it.
Life is Lemon - One of my favourite Meat songs, and a video would have been very interesting in my opinion.
Good Girls Go to Heaven - Another song I would have loved to see a music video for, would have been very gothic I'd imagine.
Blind As a Bat - This SHOULD have been a music video. I was very very disappointed.
Where the Rubber meets the Road - haha sure it's my favouite Meat song of course I would have loved a video ;)
Those are my favourites listed above, but any Meat Loaf video is always worth a look, because most of them are awesome.
Man Of Steel - they should have mad a video worthy for this song instead of the steaming turd that they call a video
Because Of You - Very catchy upbeat up to date song I think it would have done very good

Lets Be In Love - could be a good single and a really good video
 The ballads are the weak spots on his recent albums, in my opinion. I dare to say that he hasn't recorded a great ballad since WTTN (unless you call Blind As A Bat a ballad). Many of them sound like something suitable for Celine Dion or Michael Bolton but not for a rock (!) singer who used to have huge bats and motorcycle-riding musclemen on his album covers.
My choice:
Everything Louder
Original Sin
Testify
Blind As A Bat
Prize Fight Lover (!!!)
There are more I'd like to pick but I'll restrict the list to the Bat II to HCTB period and one song per album for now.

I consider Blind As A Bat to be a ballad, and I think BAAB, MOS, DYELS, and LBIL are worthy ballads of a Bat album:!:

Wait until a die-hard Steinman fan sees this. :))

Back on topic:
Life Is A Lemon (Michael Bay could have made an awesome video for this, I'm sure)
Where The Rubber Meets The Road
Blind As A Bat
Peace on Earth
I've always thought It Just Won't Quit would make an interesting video too.

Midnight at the lost and found, could've been a really good video...something a bit better than the Dead Ringer
Testify could've been a brilliant video, even better than the idea for Los Angeloser, and a really good single.
In the land of the pig could've been an epic video and could've featured on heavy rotation on the likes of Kerrang.
He should have made all the videos in the 90s when they were pumping big money into them. I mean the videos for Bat 2 and WTTN were fantastic.
I can imagine a music video for "Midnight at the Lost and Found" being set in a giant hay barn, with a built-in bar, and people falling around scuttered.

From Bat 3, WAL would have made a better single/video than IACBTMN and COM. From HCTB, I think Peace on Earth and Let's Be in Love would make interesting videos.
Testify, what a shame that was not released.

Did I Say that should have had a single that would have been a sequel to I'd lie for You, Following on from that Blind as a Bat should have been number 4 in the epic Meat/Dana Patrick love saga series. 4 of Meat's most epic songs released in the last 17 years imo and some good video opportunities have gone missing there. The video for Did I say that sucks big time.
I have to agree with those who have said For Crying Out Loud, it would have been a brilliant video if one had been made. Also agree, would have loved a proper video for Man Of Steel, rather than that silly cartoon. I would love to see a video for A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste, What About Love and Like A Rose, featuring Jack Black, would be a classic. I agree, those videos he made in the 90's for Bat 2 and WTTN were epic, they just don't make them like that any more unfortunately.

 I'd love to do vids for Cheatin' In Your Dreams and Execution Day, but the one i'd love to bring to life the most is Standing On The Outside.
Life Is A Lemon could be interesting.
There's a lot of scope for Elvis In Vegas.
I'm thinking along the lines of Tom Petty's Learning To Fly meets Roy Orbison's I Drove All Night.
