View Full Version : CHSIB CD-Rom Video
Hi,
Does anyone know if the CD video of Meats's Couldn't Have Said It Better, works on a DVD player? As part of the single that was released in the UK it contained the CD-rom video, and i just wanted to know if this could be played on a DVD player as well as a PC? Same goes for the video's on the second CD of CHSIB album?
Has anyone tried it or knows if it works???
Joe
Neither cd's videos could be played on my dvd player. My dvd player says it can play vcd, so I thought it might. I have an Akai ADV2280.
Does anyone know what I could do to make it possible to view the music videos on my dvd player? Would I need a dvd writer?

I can only watch the videos on my computer, and it was hard enough to get that 'working'. But, worth it!
Great day to you,
Mariella
My DVD-player should play all regions (wanted to see Storytellers!)

I have a Pioneer DVD which is supposed to play all formats - but it didn't on this one.
Although on computer it plays in both draws.
Thanks for the info guys :)

Come back to us Joe and let us know please
My DVD only plays the audio track on the bonus CD.
This is because the audio and video tracks are on 2 different layers.
My DVD can't read both at the same time, and then it will always take the first track, wich is the audio. I think this is the case with most DVD players.
But it never hurts to try....and he, what do I know. All I do to my DVD is put a disc in and hit play, and it works, that's all i care about (aka I don't know the first thing about DVD players)

Mine states clearly it plays mpegs - but no matter how I configure it Nope :!:
DVD format is mpeg, so it had better play that.....
I don't know excactly how it works, but someone told me about the 2 layers of information, like sub-directories. Most Dvd players can't read the sub-directories.
Anyway, I just know mine doesn't play them so I play them on my PC and that works great...

It plays dvd's etc but no mpegs I sat with instructions andstillcann't get it to work on my DVD player but this is the special one from the studio - so possibly somethings been done to it to prevent me playing it downstairs.

Don't know dottie, wish I could help you there.
But I hope you can play them on the PC anyway?
I have 4 players on my pC, so I can play any format you can think of.
Good luck though Dottie, hope it works

The special DVD doesn´t work on any DVD player, just on PC.
Because its like a website, and a dvd player cant read these datas.
im sad about it because my pc screen is just 15" :(
:D
Hi ... as I told few weeks ago:
Put the videos on your harddisk, use software like "Ulead Video Studio 6" or the newest NERO-Burning-Software incl. MPEG/DVD-plugins to convert it to VCD/SVCD or DVD-format, burn it with CD- or DVD-Rom... and you'll have fun to play them on your DVD-player. DVD-players can't read CD-rom's ... it technically unpossible, believe me !
Bye from Kai
