Which song do you think Meat should perform on Leno and Lopez? I think Meat and Patti should sing "If I Can't Have You". This song seems to appeal to most listeners, and Patti's vocals would definitely be awesome on the song (plus their fantastic chemistry).

I would agree!

Definetly! Just out of interesting will someone be able to put in onto youtube so we can hear/watch? :)

I disagree. If Meat duets with Patti on the show, people at home will think "Yet another Meat song where he duets" whereas the bulk of the album is actually Meat by himself singing. I would like to see "Living On The Outside".

Yes not again a duet - Living on the outside represent better the new album :!:

I'd love to see Meat & Patti perform "If I Can't Have You" on Leno & Lopez. I think that performance could sell more albums.

I second that. Maybe thats why he's been singing it as warm-up as well. To get used to doing it live in preparation for the show?

Living on the Outside would be a good choice, it's a good representation of the album - personally I'd like to see Elvis in Vegas live, but I doubt it will happen.

Bat out of Hell

Meat is really good at singing Bat on TV. If you look at DWTS back in 2007 and Popstar, they were both excellent performances that rattled you. So yeah i think Bat would be a great choice.

For promoting Meat Loaf, not for promoting HCTB.

yeah

but if he sings a song from hctb that hes not good at doing live, it will promo neither.

So hopefully he picks something he's good thats from hctb so it promotes both things

What's with the "not good at doing live" and picking "something he's good at"? Heavens above ..

I think it's clear that like A Rose benefits from the full band backing, as do many tracks. I think If I Can't Have You would be a good choice. But given he has a full band backing, either live in the studio (or with a backing track to enhance the performance as he has done many times before) any of the songs he nailed on the album would be great live .. because he's bloody good and his vocals are the best they've been in years!

That's absolutely true, whatever song Meat does he will do well and excell like he always does.

I think thats not true, Meat has great performances and unfortunately he has performances that are below par, by his own admission.
He always gives 100% but that does not always mean a great performance. If Meat sings like he has done at the US shows that i saw, then i expect the performance to be fukking amazing ! So my hope is that he does just that !

To any who disagree that Los Angeloser is better with a full band backing I can only say listen to it in the tour shows.

To any who think with a full band backing any song wouldn't be great, it's your view, but not mine. In my view that was the issue with the TV performances some here have criticised hugely.

And to those who don't think he's bloody good or who don't think his vocals are the best they've been in years, all I can say is I disagree profoundly .. He IS bloody good at what he does imo and I agree with the band, Meat and some other fans that he's singing better than he has for years

His vocals now do sound fantastic from what I've heard online, and that is based on shitty quality recordings so I'm sure it's even better to hear it live. However that does not mean to say this is a guarantee for a great vocal performance on TV and if he only gets a few minutes to get it right for a Tonight show audience I'd rather have him make a huge impact than to hear him struggle. Bat it should be in my opinion as I've never heard him struggle with that unlike he has done with Los Angeloser in my opinion. Bat would sell the most tickets for his remaining shows I would have thought regardless of HCTB promo which I'm not so sure should be the focus any more. Hope to Jehova he doesn't bring Rob Cavello up again in any interviews. I'm fed up hearing about the producers all the time.

It is!! The main vocal in Los Angeloser sounds "bare" without a good band backing. Live it's superb, and imo it needs that full backing to make it so. If I Can't Have You would work well I think, as would any of the ones showcased on tour with the right backing.

Yes Bat will always appeal .. but I tend to the view that an appearance even without a song would encourage peopleto come to a show, and ultimately the tour and any shows Meat does are to promote the album, and on balance to me not to feature a track from it would tend to be a lost opportunity.

Whatever it is, Meat knows what he's doing better than I .. and I venture better than most of us, and he'll decide :) Look forward to hearing what it is from those who can watch it.

The Bat Out Of Hell from this show would fit your description, but for some reason Wario has uploaded every other song but Bat.

I did upload it. RedPony Tours took it down back when they were tracking down on meat videos...

But yea, that Bat was terrible.

I agree Los Angeloser needs the full backing band, it sounds incredible live with all of that.
I would hope that Meat sings something from HCTB as i think the promo and publicity is needed for the album and Meats shows. I look forward to seeing what does happen.

PFL, i forget that its not on the album, but agree this would be a great song for Meat to do on the show.I am sure it would still offer good promo regardless of the fact its not on HCTB. I think it gives a good representation imo.
Its a song that often gets the repeat button over and over, one of those that i never tire of listening to.

That song calls for being performed live. One of the best songs he's ever recorded, I still can't get over that I can only listen to a low-quality MP3 file of it.

Los Angeloser sounds great in the live show. Meat just gets nervous on live tv. That's another reason I think IICHY would be a good choice for Leno and Lopez. Meat seems more at ease when singing with Patti.
