After the show, Meat Loaf said he was blown away by Beck's guitar playing.
"How does he do it," he pondered. "His playing comes from a place in the heart that exists in so few people. It's like the performance by that guy in the Godfather II (John Cazale) and how he overshadowed Al Pacino."

Jeff Beck recently performed "Over the Rainbow" on Jools Holland here in the UK. It was amazing.

Let's see Meat do something with Jeff Beck in the future, even if it's just Jeff appearing live during the show! Talk about a pairing!

That's so funny- (Cue Twilight Zone Theme)

Yesterday, I was trying to come up with my own "Fantasy Neverland Express", and I had Jeff Beck on lead guitar.

Problem was, I couldn't come up with the rest of the band, except for Max Weinberg and Roy Bittan, for obvious reasons. I was thinking Van Zandt on rhythm; reading that article, I don't think he'd mind. :-)

P.S. Jeff Beck is awesome!

Nice set -- Meat, Van Zandt, Bittan, Weinberg, Beck, but who's on bass? What about saxophone, presuming you have one, and female vocals?

See, that's where I struggle; I even had a hard time coming up with a rhythm guitarist, because all the guitarists who came to mind play lead. SVZ came in because he's worked with Max and Roy, and he did play on one Meat track, so, there's some connection.

On bass, my first thought is Geddy Lee, but no, he doesn't seem to fit. Then there's McCartney, but we're back to All-Star band, then. So, then it's either Kasim or, oh hell- Garry Tallent.

Add Clarence Clemons (who else?) on sax, and you've got a nice little band!:mrgreen:

Female vocals? OK, we'll go with Cher and Carly Simon.

OK, I know- Crystal Talifiero- she can cover vocals, sax and extra guitar!

"That woman can play any instrument you throw at her", Billy Joel once said.

And Crystal's even been on a Meat record - "Home by Now / No Matter What."
