I've never seen a picture disc with a large hole, as, ehm, I imagine it cuts a rather large hole in the artwork.

That's a regular single with a hole drilled or punched in the label or the cover, indicating it's a promotional copy.

Exactly, that's why I wondered when I came across a record with a large hole... A larger hole makes sense if you play singles via a jukebox or a record player that has a changer. But since picture discs are rather collector's items than supposed to be played, I'm confused... I can't imagine it was produced like that, I assume someone extended the hole afterwards.
