Just some info I have for any Aussies out there, Meat will be on Sunrise tomorrow morning. An interview with Molly Meldrum. Still waiting to see when he will be on the Today Show. Not sure what other shows he will be on while he's here, but if I find out I'll let you know.

Well he was on a little while ago, trying to juggle everything today, switching between channels and getting ready for work. He looked wonderful and talked about the new album, gave the story about the man seeing his life flash forward and how he thinks he's in the dirt, but is actually in hospital. Molly raved about it and said it was a fantastic album. Meat said he felt like he'd been in the Arctic of the record industry and had just melted and is now unleashed. Still waiting for the Today show to have him on, and have to leave for work in a few minutes so hope he's on soon.

Oh and a little bit of trivia for anyone who's interested. Where Richard Wilkins was interviewing him from, Burleigh Heads, is near where I live. I was so hoping Meat was coming up here to be live on the show, I would have been there!!!!!! So now he's in Melbourne, wonder if he's on any shows from there.

Molly is really experienced with musical interviewing, he's the "Music guru" over here, he's been doing this stuff for a very long time.

Yep, he's been doing it since my school days in the early 70's. Meat's on a couple more shows over here tomorrow. The Circle on Channel 10 at 10am and the 7PM Project on Channel 10 at you guessed it 7pm tomorrow night.

Ha ha Jeanie, I didn't even think of that, we're so used to him, he's been around forever. His real name is Ian, can't even remember how he got the nickname Molly, but that's what's he's been known as for as long as I can remember.

You've incited some rare patriotism in me here Jeanie. :-)

Molly's an Icon! He's been a producer in the past but he's known for being a critic (who loves absolutely everything he reviews, lol) and a journo and for being friends with everybody who's anybody on the international rock music scene. He hung with John and Yoko a lot in 69 (was even once one of the two people in the BAG at a bagism press conference in place of John!), good friends with Brian May and Roger Taylor, Elton... and the list goes on.
