Thanks for that Duke I haven't seen this interview before, and I don't think I ever saw Meat smoking, cos didn't he say in his book it affects his asthma? or is it just pot? Luv cx

Sure they did after they predicted Al Gore was going to invent the internet.

Rubbish interview by a rubbish presenter.

Call me analytical, but Susan really seemed like it was her first interview. All scattered and constantly looking into the camera. Meat looked real bored and often seemed like he was mocking her. And Jim was self doubting himself wishing he had gone somewhere else instead! It was just realll strange.

the quality was really bad anyway....no tv producer with half an hour of experience would place a microphone between the camera and the guest.

Most has been said but to echo Meat looked really bored and fed up, and seemed robotic in his replys, Susan Bond.. Wow she was something else, she didn't seem to know what to do half the time and seemed to be a star struck fan at the beginning gushing over BOOH when any proffessional interviewer would introduce it and then introduce Meat and Jim then have some decent questions prepared however this seemed to be very jumbled and not very free flowing.

Certainly not the best Meat and Jim interview I have seen, much prefere this one;

I was thinking pretty much the same as you, RSG, that... and I wanted to strangle that inept interviewer, who didn't seem to have a clue.. as to what she was doing.

that's the one from the rockpalast concert. One of the funniest interviews i know, for the mere fact that the interviewer is TERRIFIED of Meat and doesnt seem to know/care about anythiing he asks. lol

Well, it was 1978 when Motown/Prodigal re-released the record with a slightly different title as a "Meat Loaf" album, apparently to indirectly benefit from the success of Bat Out Of Hell. I can understand why he was pissed.

He can't hate the album that much since he played What You See Is What You Get live later.

Regardless of the circumstances under which that album was made, I like to listen to it, I like that kind of music. It also demonstrates that Meat Loaf used to be a very versatile singer who could sing almost anything.

That interview is hilarious. The guy gets kinda confused with Meat's answers whether or not to take them serious or not. Lol.

"It's always been The Beauty and The Beast trip, y'know...
I'm the Beauty and their the beast."

if you want to find out more about Susan Blond, click here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Blond).

I especially found this sentence about her career in public relations very interesting:

"Soon thereafter, Blond moved on to Epic Records, which was owned by CBS at the time. Blond became Vice President of Media Relations, and worked on the press campaigns of popular artists including first albums from Ozzy Osbourne, Culture Club, Cyndi Lauper, Sade, Meat Loaf and Boston."

I assume this video was done as a marketing piece for BOOH then, instead of a 'real' interivw. That of course begs the question why Cleveland would use something so crappy and cheap to promote an album that at that point must have already been a big hit aroud the world...
On the other hand that would explain the lack of excitement or seriousness by Meat and Jim.

For crying out loud
08 Jul 2009, 19:43
that was crap, she's probably one of the worst interveiwers ever! she mumbled, got lost in her own sentances and couldn't stop looking into the camera. no wonder meat and jim looked completely peeved off.
