Anyone fancy helping me settle a disagreement I'm having with Warioloaf? He reckons that the Live at the Bottom Line '85 show that was broadcast as part of the King Biscuit Flower Hour is actually the audio from Bad Attitude Live.
Help me convince him that it is a different show!
He's wrong.
End. Of. Story.
It's the same exact vocal depth.
I know for a fact Modern girl, BA, POTA, DRFL, and the extended All Revevd up are from the BALIVE VHS.
Its the soundboard of the brixton show. So crowd noise is lower and instrumentation sounds a bit different and so does feedback.
line the Vocals side by side.

Wario is right! Bootlegs often end up with the wrong name, and this has happened here. The audio is definitely from the Brixton show.

It's not the same. Similar vocals but not identical.

I have the King Biscuit Flower Hour vinyl, and although I haven't played it for a while (turntable is broken) I remember it being different to the Brixton show. Perhaps Wario's version is mislabelled?

Good point, what format is it and where did he buy it?
I got it in a trade (god forgive me for mentioning it). oh and you can just shorten it to "WL", "Wario' is very time consuming to spell.
Tell me exactly what parts are different in each song. I know All Revved Up has that intro monolaugue and I know the crowd is low and the instrumentation is a little varied, JTG and NF are on it, and the anouncer at the begining, but other than that tell me EVERY difference you find in each song and compare it to brixton.
I think you all are talking about the Knebworth Show, that is different.
Modern Girl and Bad Attitude are Identical to Brixton.
man if i could find my Bad Attitude live Cut material i'd prove it. Its on an old VHS somewhere here and I'll post it to youtube ASAP.
Trust me its one and the same.

Well if that is all ythne you have no case. case closed. If the vocals are the same (which i know they are) the shows are the same.
Soundboard sourced material will always sound a tiny bit different.

Right again - as a soundboard tracks is as the show was, whereas of course the Bad Attitude VHS will have gone through additional sound production, to correct any issues and to make the audience sound even more appreciative! I think we all know that Meat isn't the kind of performer who ever sounds exactly the same on two different shows. I first heard these 2 recordings many many months apart and immediately recognised them as the same.

my point is that you have it a a bootleg, whereas I have the original LP used for broadcasting the show, complete with cue-sheet etc. It is therefore possible that whoever did the bootleg got confused and mislabelled it. Maybe the version YOU have is the same, but the one I have ISN'T.

Are you not talking about the King Biscuit hour show from 1977/78?

right, when I get my vinyls unpacked I'll post a photo. It is an original LP, made for distribution among syndicated US radio stations. NOT a bootleg, so who is more likey to have got this wrong?!
