IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001533/)says Meat somehow is involved in the new Eddie Murphy movie "Meet Dave".

According to them, BOOH appears as song in the film.

any info on this?

Here's some reviews on it (they also mention Meat in some shape or form)

http://themovieboy.com/reviews/m/08_meetdave.htm

Aparently the music featured is better than the film - Most of the music is from Meat Loaf, Cher etc.....

hmmm....
that review sounds more like the reviewer finally found a chance to express his hatred of Eddie Murphy and his movies in general, than a proper movie review.

It's an Eddie Murphy movie, it is clear that you dont get some deep, meaningful opus, but light-hearted, funny comedy.

Have to say I quite liked the trailer, when I saw it in the cinema and was playing with the thought of seeing it. The fact that Bat out of Hell is featured as well as a "Meat Loaf reference" makes the descision easier.

lol dont you know what bat out of hell sounds like then ;)

i like alot of eddie murphy films but this one seems particuarly stupid to me, murphy trying to keep a career going based on what he's already done imo.

As far as the review, i agree, as we have seen with Meat reviews, som reviewers cant give an honest review without showing their open hatred/love of an artist

Donkey!!

I like a few Eddie Murphy films but I really don't think I'll be able to sit through this one, even if it does mean I get to hear some good music. Chances are a few clips will appear on YouTube soon enough so we can see where the music appears.

lmao i'd say that enjoying ANY female getting her t*ts out is largely, not exclusive but largely a male thing ;)

That's the biggest picture of donkey ever, lol.
Loved Shrek 1. Thought Shrek 2 was awful and 3, well can't be bothered seeing anymore to be honest.
Meet Dave sounds not so good to me. 3.7 on imdb is a bit too low for me...

 What's the difference between Meat and Eddie Murphy?

Meat has only been in a Spice Girl MOVIE :lmao:

Think mentioning Meat being involved would merit more than use of one of his well known hits.

If Meat DOES appear in the movie, and play Bat during the film, that will make three films where Meat has appeared in a film that's also used one of his songs.

Anyone care to name the other two films and songs? (just for japes  )

And NO, Rocky Horror doesn't count

1985, "Der Formel Eins Film" (the formula one movie, german production), where he "performed" Piece of the Action.
not to mention the Dead Ringer movie

Guess I won the useless Meat Loaf trivia contest :))

I watched this the other week and forgot to mention it on here.

Dave meets a woman and she says 'You should try my Meatloaf'...

Dave actually is a spaceship of little people designed to look like a human, so they research what 'meatloaf' is and on their screens pops Meat Loaf singing Bat Out Of Hell.

They're not too keen on eating that man.

 I'd save your money Ross.
By the sounds of it, all you'll see is a brief clip of the Bat Out Of Hell promo vid that's on the Hits Out Of Hell DVD.

So Meat Loaf the singer sounds like a FOODSTUFF called meatloaf?

We're on the cutting edge of comedy here folks

In Dave 2, Dave meets a guy called Dick.
