Hi Meatloaf fans!!

We have Meatloaf appearing on our show - V Graham Norton, :!: very very soon. I am a researcher for the show. I am looking to borrow as much unusual merchandise as possible for the show on Meatloaf. If there are any Meatloaf dolls, books, videos and anything else perhaps more bizarre that would be great. Please email me at emmas@sonorton.co.uk or phone me on 020 7960 2063.
Anyone able to help with the meatloaf doll and more unsual merchandise will be able to come and watch the show!

Hi everyone Mrs Mouse here.
I am so excited about going to the recording of the Graham Norton show tommorrow.only problem is,I need a truly world class excuse to give to my boss to explain why i wasnt in work. :oops: has anyone got any ideas :idea: (especially if my boss watches the show and sees us in the audience 8O ).broken leg is out of the question because I am in work the next day :cry: .

Neil has sent a couple of items from his collection so they can use them on the show.That is how we got the tickets :wink: .

How cool that someone from here is going to see the taping.

We get Graham Norton in the US on BBCAmerica, will have to keep an eye peeled for when it runs. They usually run a lot of reruns, may take a while before we can see it over here. Meat on GN has got to be hysterical, this will be something to see!

:twisted: O.K.,here's a run down of our trip too the Graham Norton show yesterday.

9.35am-Wake up,started panicing,should have been up by now.Runs around the house frantically trying to get ready.Bad hair day.Asks Carol to put the iron on my hair.Paranoia sets in 8O ,have we forgotten anything.

11.00am-Gets to the National Express terminal.Liverpool to London coach is full :? .Before we burst out crying :cry: ,the assistant tells us that we can get the coach to Birmingham and then change to a coach to London.O.K,we're in buisness.Coach sets out at 11.15am.Puts on walkman.Meat Loaf.Lets rock 8) .

1.00pm(approx)-Walkman breaks down.no Meat Loaf.let's err,read :roll: .

2.15pm-Arrives in Birmingham.Runs into the terminal and has a quick bite to eat.sees internet computer phone box.Runs over and comes to forums to say hello,but site would not accept my password :? .

3.00pm-Leaves Birmingham.Starts singing The Promised Land to myself because that's what the day is starting to feel like :lol: .Traffic is not too bad.Things are looking good :D .

6.00pm-Arrives in London Victoris terminal.Been told to arrive at the studio at 7.00pm.We've got an hour to find the place.Goes to a tourist information desk and asks the assistant how I get to South East London.The assistant is foreign and doesn't have a clue :roll: .Tries another information desk.Another foreign assistant at the desk.Asks ME where South East London is 8O .Isn't that what i've just asked you? :lmao: .We finally find someone who knows what they're talking about :D .He tells us we need to get the bus to Waterloo(no,I didn't start to sing ABBA :wink: ).We find the bus and get to waterloo.starts asking everybody in sight if they know where the address is.Gets directions.Close by.Plenty of time.No worries :mrgreen: .

7.00pm-Arrives dead on time.door is still locked.Stands there patiently.Guy opens door.I tell him we're here for the G.N. show.He tells us that we're at the wrong place.We're at the office,not the studio :oops: .He points into the distance and says see that big building over there?
We start running.
7.20pm-Gets to the studio.Told by security that we're still early.Sits in reception.Woman from G.N. show appears and asks who is here to see the show.About 8 people rush over.We're all on the guest list.She tells us that only three names are on the guest list,and we ain't on it.Heart starts beating faster.Gets nervous and starts stuttering.Explains who put ius on the guest list,but i'm so nervous that I can't think of the word "researcher" :oops: .She phones the researcher and everything is sorted out.Panic over :D .I hear the name Caryl Burton mentioned.I think that that rings a bell :roll: .I say excuse me,are you Caryl from ROL.Yes she said.Hi,im the flying Mouse I reply.
Then we were all led to the studio bar (BAR,this gets better and better :mrgreen: ).We have a quick half a pint and chat to Caryl and her friend.
8.00pm-The woman from the show comes back and takes us into the studio.We all have to sit in the back row we are told.The woman tells us that you havre a great view from up there (she should have been in advertising :lmao: .As Caryl has a walking stick,she and her friend were allowed to sit at the front instead of sitting upstairs.Carol and I took our places on the back row,but it was true that you do have a great view of the whole studio from up there :D .
The first thing that struck me about the studio was how small it was.On T.V. it looks ten times bigger,so it was really surprising how small the room really is.
The floor manager came onto the stage and claimed he was Sticky 8O .Aparently that's his name :lol: .He told everybody the safety regulations and introduced the warm up act,a comediene who had the crown laughing within seconds :lol: .She explained to everybody that we had to pretend that it was Friday for the benifit of the viewers :wink: .
Then Graham took to the stage to tremendous applause.He told everybody not to waste the applause as they had not started recording yet :lol: .He told the audience that the guest that they had on the show was really special and stressed to give him the welcome that he deserves.
The show started with Graham's usual witty banter,including jokes about the 100 worst Brits vote and Prince William.Then they cut and set up for Meat's introduction.Graham dressed up (I won't spoil the surprise :wink: ) and the cameras started rolling again.
Then it was time for Meat's appearance.He came out and the crowd went balistic.As soon as he got to the stage he was causing havoc :devil: .
Things he talked about included...
Football,Heartlypool in particular.
Bat,and how his records have been marketed around the world.
How he got his name,and how he made up stories too fool the press.
His breakdown,bankrupcy,and bad investments.
Meeting Elvis and John Lennon.
And much more.
After having some fun with the audience,Meat and Graham recorded some advertisments for the show.
After that it was right back down to buisness.Meat gave a fantastic interview.He was really funny.But he also talked seriously as well(but not much :wink: ).
To finish the show,we were treated to a rendition of CHSIB.Meat shouted for applause for Pattie,and the crown were more than happy to give it :D .
When the cameras stopped rolling,Graham called for everyone to give Meat one last big round of applause.Meat of course turned it round and demanded everyone clap for Graham.Meat also applauded the audience 8) .
As everybody was usherd out,I missed the top step on the stairs and nearly knocked everyboby in front of me down the stairs like bowling pins :oops: .
Then I couldn't believe my eyes.Standing only a few feet away behind a barrier was Pattie :D .My mouth dropped open,and I rushed over to the security guard and asked him if I could ask Pattie for an autograph.He told me i'd have to wait outside but they would be out soon.I thought,yeah i've heard that one before :roll: .So out we went.We waited outside for 10 mins while we had a ciggie(hey,you never know :wink: )but we knew that it just wasn't going to happen :cry: .
Caryl came out with her friend and we said goodbye and wished each other a safe journey home.
We got the bus back to the terminal at 10.25pm and arrived with plenty of time to spare.
The coach left London at 11.30pm.Thankfully we didn't have to change coaches on the way home :D .
We finally arrived back at the Liverpool terminal at 5.50am and headed for the bus home.
We walked through the door,kicked off our shoes,and logged on to say hi.We didn't manage to get much sleep on the way home :cry: .So it was off to bed :zzz: .
It was a long day but well worth the effort to see such a great interview live :D .

I haven't given too many details about the show because I don't want to spoil it for everybody who will be tuning in on Friday.Anything that is not shown on the program,I will tell you about afterwards.
