 Well, the "sort of half assed discussion about Bond poll", but I thought the title used was a bit better

If you haven't made your mind up, it might help to read about Bond (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bond)

Sean Connery was Bond, but he's older now and Daniel Craig is very pleasing to the eye, especially when he's walking out of the sea all wet and dripping. Very pleasing to the eye indeed.

maybe your eye, but certinaly not mine :p

Sean's the man...

...cool name too! ;)

...but then again, if you're a fan of the books, the Tim Dalton's probably the closest to the character as written by Fleming. But as far as the movies go, it's Mr Connery all the way.

I dont mind most of the Bond films my fav has to be "Live and Let Die",my fav Bond has to be Roger Moore, followed closely by Sean Connery, dont think much of any of the others.

There's pros and cons of most of them, Connery had the longevity and the role will always really be his though since he was the first. Lazenby could have done ok but he only had the one film, David Niven doesn't count as that was just a travesty. Roger Moore and his eyebrows were a product of some very poor scripts and general late 70's tastelessness. Dalton and Brosnan both breathed fresh life into the series although personally I don't really rate either of them too much. I think that given time Daniel Craig will prove to be the best all round Bond in terms of closeness to the original Fleming characters, problem is that they've effectively run out of original Fleming storylines so seeing Craig being a true Bond relies on non-Fleming input.
