Someone posted this on .net a while back...I wasn't able to try it because my dvd recorder was not listed but there is a huge list of various brands/models that have the unlock codes listed. Let us know if it works for you or not.....

did you know you can unlock your dvd player to become a multi region...i'm posting this for those that would like the dvd of 3 bats but can't watch it due to the region format or any dvd....i've done it and works like a charm

just look up your model and number and follow the instructions...very simple
