Hey Guys! How's Life? Been back in Britain now for two weeks and my computer is still fecked so borrowing a mates! Anyways I thought I'd tell ya all about my fantabulous time backpacking around Europe hehe
Firsty stop was Prague. The Hostel was a shit hole but Prague itself was quite nice nothing special if you ask me drank plenty of absynth that night though with a agorgeous meal. The people seemed generally friendly with few exceptions including our waitress
Second stop Budapest. I adored Budapest from the onset I think this was due to having no clue about the place (If I'm honest I thought it was in India lol ) so I think the lack of expectations made it that bit more magical when we discovered all the sites. One of my favourite places there was the gigantic gravesite with all those whom died during the communist years and also a few philosophes that were buried there also made it special. The hostel there was amazing also and we also had one day of rest in a Buda Spa This was gorgeous!
Third Stop Vienna. This to me was nothing special it seemed like any other capital but we did go to the fairgrounds so thats always fun. Once again the Hostel here was great had a brilliant and lively feel to the bar at nights and with complimentary free drinks you can't go wrong
Fourth stop, Venice. Another place which didn't blow me away first off, however after stopping off ina cafe and watching the Gondulas pass us by I seemed to soak in the beauty of the place. The Gondula ride itself though expensive was definatly worth it we had a great guide telling us of how the water is pumped of for restortation prurposes etc. which really helped my confuzzled state of midnd about how the place is still standing
Fifth Stop Florence. This was a one night one day thing beore Rome so we had to rush around to see everything, unfortunatly as it was on a Monday all museums were closed *Shrugs* so we got to see nearly nothing but a few churches. However that cannot take away from the overall beauty of Florence and I would dearly like to return to fully explore Florence for longer than a day.
Sixth Stop Rome. Dirty place. Really dirsty place. However, regardless of my poor impression of the actually state of Rome I was blown away by the Colleseum and its surrounding area it was stunning. The Trevi Fountain was also beautiful while the Pantheon mindblowing. Regardless of that Rome isn't somewhere I'd return out of intrest but maybe a pitstop.
Final stop Paris. Beautiful, stunning. Loved everything except for the traffic. My first experience up the Eiffel Tower was experienced with Pierce Brosnon which was kinda kool that and this old man screaming "BOND ITS BOND" made me piss myself. The Arc de triumph was stuning but weirdly situated while the frogs legs I dined on at night were beautiful .
Overall I thoroughlty enjoyed myself but there are a few mini adventures I need to mention:
Stolen Money and Phone: Yep during an all night train from Vienna to Venice INatlaie my housemate and I both had our phones and money stolen. Added to the adventure for me nearly kille Natalie lol
I made a small girl cry: Yes I am a bully but let me explain. I had had some very spicy kebabs in Prague which were affecting me for the first couple of days and on one train ther was no en suite so it was a shared toilet. I had gone to the toilet and this small girl was waiting oustide after returning to my room after half an hour we could hear the small girl scream and cry about the smell.... What can I say?
Rock on in the Vatican: Yes there were two saucy bitches in front of me in the Vatican and yes I was slightly aroused. They disappeared after the Sistine Chapel thank science as I was able to appreciate its beauty.
Cooling down with Holy Water: I had a major earfull for colling the back of my neck with Holy Water from St Peters of which I explained is merely H2O but my Christian friends would have none of it and I was silenced for an hour....
