TESCO Bonus Tracks:
Prize Fight Lover
For What Its Worth
Anything For Love

PRIZE FIGHT LOVER:

Blown. Away. I didn't think it was possible to get a version better than the Hang Cool Teddy Bear version. I WAS WRONG. Anyone who says Meat "can't sing anymore" - Show them THIS.

FOR WHAT ITS WORTH:

A classic song, with a Meat Loaf twist. Cannot love it enough.

ANYTHING FOR LOVE:

Every time I hear a new version of this song, I'm reminded why I fell in love with it in the first place.

Bring on the US release with the other bonus tracks next week!

I'm really looking forward to a listen of For What It's Worth ... Have the 45 from the time it was out ... and long time big time fan of Stephen Stills... and all he's ever done ... ie ... working solo ... with Buffalo Springfield and of course... CSN and CSN&Y ...

I'm about to go online and order my ticket to see member C out of that grouping.... ...

Aren't the tesco bonuses the same as American ones?
I think that's correct...

Think MSO with Imelda May instead of Patti and a late 90s (I'm guessing) Meat Loaf Vocal. Its so powerful.

I didn't want to say they were and have someone correct me, so why chance it? Haha.

Anything for love is like an orchestral version with minimal drums, no guitars. Quite a re-imagining. Epic, not sure when his vocal is from? What an amazing song.

Is it 12 mins long?

Or 7-10 mins like the late 90s version

Sure it was listed just under 7. Could be wrong.

The AFL vox are definitely mid 90s, and live, to my ears. Really interesting arrangement -- both stripped down but 'bombastic' at the same time.

I was kinda hoping that the AFL vocals would have been from now, but it sounds amazing.

What's funny is that the iTunes demo versions are far more interesting when you've actually heard the full arrangements on the Tesco release. But maybe that's me thinking from a music production pov, you can hear how it was built up etc. Hearing the iTunes versions first I felt like it could have been greater (but to be fair they are demos), then you get greatness and you think "ok so how does the vocal sound exactly on its own etc..."

Maybe I'm just going

Tesco doesn't have any previews but if you like Prize Fight Lover and you'd like another great version on CD of that it's worth it just for that for sure. It's a full band version and Meat sings his ass off.

Talking IMO

IMO:

The AFL-vocals from TESCO and iTunes are the same: iTunes piano only, TESCO as discriped. I'm very sure they are from the 90's.

The TESCO PFL seems to be an older vocal from few years ago. iTunes PFL seems actual vocals, maybe one or two years ago.

Dirty Water from iTunes seems actual vocals.

Who needs the young from iTunes has actual vocals.

The AFL Tesco track is annoying because there is a hiss that kicks in every time 90's meat sings. Presumably just the recording tech at the time? Buts it's annoying to hear it start and cut with every vocal

I can't decide for certain but PFL for me is either an alternative vocal cut from the HCTB sessions or he has recorded it in the last year or so.

And I now have three versions of AFL with a similar vocal. The original. The demo. The Orchestral. And in my head I have my ultimate version that I have never been able to mix before. I feel that time may have come.

The PFL track seems like a new vocal. Its NOT the HCTB vocal thats for sure. Not sure though if its from that session or newer.

Same session, its obvious. there are some vocals that are identical. the first couple lines, for example
