Love it too. Bat III should be just like that!

I would say 9/10. A highlight from TMIL for sure don't like the second fast solo though. Sounds unnecessary. A great lyric, definetly get a Gotham City vibe from them.

Over 5years since voting opened I shall chip in with a 9. This is the sort of song that makes me love Meat. It rocks hard.
And a real highlight of the great RAH gig.
Perhaps one to be re-instated for (hopefully) this year's tour?

I see the setlist does, in fact, not have pigs on it.
But, I am convinced it WAS played! I just have this recollection of the chorus being sung. However, I won't doubt the setlist!!

I've never been very fond of the arrangements on Bat III, the whole album sounds over-produced and cold to me although it tries to convey drama and emotion (in vain, I think), yet there are a couple of interesting moments on some of the songs. In The Land Of The Pig is one of these songs but it either has to sound like Steinman or be totally raw in order to really shine, in my opinion. No rating from me, sorry.

Maybe should have been a (separate) collaboration with Metallica?? Lacking a sense of fun, and difficult to 'fit' it onto any regular album. 3.5/ 10

I really love album ("Bat Out Of Hell 3") but this song ... I like ... no - VERY like melody, but lyrics ... I know that it has second meaning, but at first you could hear about pigs and butcher ... so it's too bloody for me Anyway I should give it (to this song) justice, so I give it : 7/10.
