Danny Miranda
What does everyone think of the new bass player? I really like the way he paces the stage and he's great on bass.

In total agreement, Vicki and Wario.
With all due respect to Kasim, when he was musical director for so many years, it seemed the music had one vision and never really got to evolve. Now each band member contributes something new on their instruments and Patti is singing some of the harmonies that Kasim used to, which sounds amazing. It's a great new direction for the NLE. (And best of luck to Kasim because he's a talented guy.) What do you guys think? |

The NLE has always evolved over the years, Sometimes it's worked and sometimes it hasn't (personally I though Pat Thrall was a poor replacement for Bob Kulick and I likewise though Damon was a poor replacement for Pat) . I've not seen Justin and Danny live on stage yet, but from what I've heard from the clips I've seen, and also from hat I've heard when I've seen Danny playing live with Queen, they are both more than adequate replacements for Mark and Kasim.

What I like about Danny, as perviosuly said, He plays his bass like its part of his body, and like an instrument, and not just a bass. Kasim can play bass, but I dont think he adds charactr to it
Thats just my opinion and im a nobody |

Im gonna get shot for this: I never liked kasim to be honest. Very egocentric individual at points (especially on his website). their I said it.

really? I never thought so. I also never met the man. But I thought he was a great bassist, and seemed very caring.

I've never met the man, or even spoken to the man, so all I can go by is the impression I get from watching him perform. I think he gives off a vibe of arrogance and being full of himself. Maybe it's just confidence in his ability and I have misread things? He may be a great bloke, but that's the impression I get.

it's interesting how negative things never come out when the subject is still in the band. Just a thought, take it for what it is I love bass as instrument and knew (as an artist) and appreciated Kasim when he played with Joan Jett, only later I realised he was in NLE. I still can't judge Danny since there weren't any good quality video around to let me "hear him", but from all your opinions it's great to hear that the band has a fab new bass player

Evil One got it right. He just comes off as full of himself when you see him on stage and on the DVDs.
Danny is different and ike him for that. But I love how people have forgeten about bustlowe. He was with meat longer then Kasim. 1977 - 1984 then from 1987 -1995 is bustlowe. Kasim was 1993 - 2009 |

I met Kasim backstage a couple of years ago and he was very polite and nice to us then. I think he's a confidant man, confidant in his abilities and rightly so. I would never dream of suggesting someone was arrogant or ego-centric until I had got to know them in the flesh. Words on a website are too easily misconstrued.
