Default Amazon Price Increases

Braver CD has increased from 9.99 to 12.24
Braver Vinyl has increased from 19.99 to 29.06!

Hopefully it's just temporarily?
If not will order the Vinyl somewhere else, HMV or so. Was just about to checkout when I saw this. Ridiculous increase.

Will order the Tesco version on CD over here as it is supposed to be exclusive and has songs by Jim StIEnman on it too. Vinyl from HMV. ~~~~ em at Amazon. Have already paid for the full digital release. That's enough for now.

They usually fluctuate quite a lot before release, so I wouldn't worry -- just try and make sure you catch it when it next goes down again (which, annoyingly, will probably end up being something like 21.06 or something ... but remember, with a pre order if it does go down to that original price or lower, at least you only pay the lowest price i.e. it can't go up any higher once you've ordered, but it can get lower and you get the benefit).

That's true I guess. I wonder then if the on sale date price will just be normal and if that is the case why do they increase it? Surely it will just put people off buying it. Maybe they think they cannot deliver any more for the release date at the moment.

Probably something to do with 'panic buying' (i.e. sudden increase in price, consumer panics, price drops but as low as it was originally, consumer buys out of 'fear of further increase', etc.).

Amazon's price increases are bizarre. I was buying something on Amazon last night and probably revisited the site 10 times. Something in my saved list kept having its price increased and then reduced each time I re-viewed the basket.

Just sales tactics, unfortunately. They're competing against both other companies and, in the majority of cases, the sellers who choose to sell through Amazon marketplace, too.
