Sausage Party (2016)

Great... if you are 15 and in puberty.

The animation is just below the current standard but that is the only, not terrible thing about this movie. I've seen people claiming it's clever. I think it says more about those people than the movie. The humor isn't even offensive. It's simply vulgar. Nothing more nothing less. The storyline tries to be smarter than it is and falls short on every aspect. All in all it is actually bad written (No surprise there when Seth Rogen is one of the writers)

Tremors (1989)

If they had CGI back in those days and used it on this film, it wouldn't have been half the fun it is now. Hadn't seen it in a while but it's still as good as it was back then.

Agreed... saw it recently and it's great fun. Kevin Bacon always helps too. This might actually be one they could do a Tremors 30 Years Later type sequel to. Do it real and in the camera though!

Sully.

3/5.

Still not as good as the RAF Nimrod ditching.

John Wick (2014)

No nonsense action. For me this is the blueprint for all modern action movies. Can't wait for the sequel this month.

Absolutely Fabulous (2016)

Another of many examples that it is hard to turn a great 30 minute comedy show into a full movie. As with most of these movies they have some funny moments but overall feel boring.

Eloise (2017)

I have seen quite a few horror movies set in an empty asylum/clinic/mortuary etc. But none so dull as this one. Bored the crap out of me and my wife.

Robert Patrick and Eliza Dushku have become D-actors. Such a shame.

Desperation (2006)

This Stephen King story, made for TV, is another movie that shows that King novels aren't easy to adapt to the screen. Despite it's running time of 130 minutes it fails to catch the essence of King's storytelling.

Still, as a tv movie it's not all bad.

La La Land

Nicely acted and pleasantly humoured but not a lot really happens. Quite affecting but doesn't really grab you in full.

3.5 out of 5.

The Watcher (2016) typical trash scary Netflix movie. Movie offerings on Netflix are going downhill for sure. Not even worthy of a B movie label. Pathetic motivations, development and story. 2/10. 1 point for the good looking actress Erin Cahill who looks much younger than her age with nice legs who was half decent. Movies like this are making me think to give up Netflix altogether.

50 shades darker (2017) incredibly lazy written sequel. How the helicopter stuff gets resolved is laughably childish. An imbicele could write a better plot. 4/10. Barely watchable. Almost everything in the movie felt like "we've been here before" nothing new gets added. First one was decent I thought.

Consumed (2015)
Intriguing thriller about a conspiracy with GMO foods. Victor Garber from portraying Mr Thomas Andrews in Titanic fame plays a similarish role, not knowing that he is ultimately a bad guy in some respects. Mind opening. Whether any truth, who knows but certainly worth your time as I think it was a well crafted movie. 8/10

La la land (2016)

I understand Hollywood feels the need to go back to nostalgic times and this movie does a good job at that. But is it really that good? I think the movie is kinda dull and highly overrated. I am surprised it wins so many awards. But maybe that is just me.

It's not a bad movie but I don't see anything special in it

The Accountant (2016)

Above average action/thriller. Even Ben Affleck suited the role.

I enjoyed this one

Tintin and the secret of the Golden Fleece (1961)

First of 2 live action movies about Tintin from the 1960's

I saw them when I was a child. Loved them. Today... hahaha For nostalgic reasons I enjoyed it.

Sausage Party

Ridiculous, stupid, and unnecessarily sweary. But also laugh out loud hilarious and strangely addictive.

I have no idea why I liked it but I did.

Tintin and the blue oranges (1964)

Not as good as the first one. Perhaps this one is a bit more for kids. But still a great journey to memory lane.

Inferno

Meh. They tried to make it more character driven but there is still ridiculous expositional dialogue. It's just a bit dull and serious. It needs to be more like a b movie serial and loosen up.

Sorry but even Tom Hanks can't save these films.
