Default So one week later...

As we are virtually a week after release, I thought it was poll time (mainly because I know not everyone likes to put their opinions out there, but a lot of people are able to click a button).

How has your opinion of Braver changed since it was released? Do you feel any different to when you first heard it? Do you like some songs now you didn't like before?

I loved it from the start, but after playing it every day, it just seems even so much better. There are little bits I hadn't noticed initially, little abnormalities in Meat's voice that maybe seemed odd at first but now completely make the songs work.

So...feel free to elaborate if you wish but if you just want to leave your vote then do that instead.

Ive played it in full 4 times, been so busy.
But i love it, and some family members who are not huge fans, but like him = think its really good.I will post a review soon.
Ps - the vocals totally work on it, so much detail in each song

'None of the above' - its an above-middling effort, for me.

I too fell in love with it first play .. and find even more each time I play it. It get better and better.

So WHY is that option not on the poll? "Liked/loved it" No change doesn't hack it

Why doesn't it? You liked and/or loved it, and that opinion hasn't changed. Your opinion being reinforced by repeated listens doesn't make it a different opinion, it just means you believe it more strongly. :P (Not to nitpick; I, too, really enjoy the album and have from the start.)

That was the "Liked it, love it now" one. Perhaps it was a bit ambiguous looking at it now.

For some it's been a couple months. Still only like a couple songs but yes, it's growing ever so slightly.

In time, it'll be like a good wine

From 'what the hell is this, I'm not sure if I like Meat's vocals' when I originally heard a few cuts (months and months ago), to 'hm, this is oddly cool', to 'no, I really like this, the vox are just right given x,y, and z', to one week after release, 'I love it'. It's better than the last two albums put together (and those albums had some really good moments -- they just weren't 'great'). This is great.

I have listened to it for a while now and things haven't changed. The ones I did not like haven't grown on me and are not likely to do so and the song I did like I still enjoy

I am always sceptical when artists describe a piece of work as a concept or symphony or themed or whatever when the reality is usually just a collection of unrelated songs.
However, this album does somehow string along as a single body even though I see different song titles and hear separate tracks.
How the hell is that done?
Magic, of course.
This is a cracking album but my one gripe is that which comes from the old adage that time flies when you are having fun.
I have never played a Meat album and the end arrive so quickly just because you become so immersed in it. What a concept!!
Terrific stuff a week on.
