Congratulations to Rocky Horror Picture Show Executive Producer, Lou Adler, on his upcoming induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame!!!! Lou Adler, executive producer of The Rocky Horror Picture Show has always been on the pulse of America's youth explosion of rock and roll and pop culture. He was the producer of Carole King's award-winning and best-selling album, Tapestry. He also produced all the albums by "The Mamas and the Papas", one of the most popular groups of the '60s. He and John Phillips produced the 1967 hit documentary Monterey Pop, which introduced the world to Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. He also produced the early Cheech and Chong albums and produced and directed their first hit film Up In Smoke. He directed Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains, and produced the cult films Brewster McCloud, Shock Treatment, and American Me. Lou lives in Malibu and is the owner of Ode Records, and is very involved today in the fields of children's entertainment and gospel music. Lou received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 6th, 2006. Lou Adler was also a co-founder of The Painted Turtle, which is the charity Meat Loaf worked so hard to support on Celebrity Apprentice!!! Way to go Lou!!!! |
