Episode 3 DVD

needmoremeat 03 Nov 2005 21:30

First half of Star Wars Ep II, taped the 2nd half to watch tomorrow afternoon when i'm not @ university!:)) Seen it before, but couldn't remember much about it. You know those scenes when Anakin is protecting Padme in that nice house/building type thing (there's just the two of them, no one else there) and there were mountains and waters in the background? That's where I was on holiday this year!!!:D Those scenes were filmed at Lake Como in Italy, we recognised the Jurassic Park type mountains and mountain ridges.

dottie 03 Nov 2005 22:34

Hero - Jet Lee - amazing........

Off to see this tomorrow as i have heard good things about it

KebLou 10 Dec 2005 21:59

xXx: State of the Union, apparently I have better taste than this  All I say is I was taken to watch it in the cinema and Willem Dafoe is in it so I bought it. It's not amazing but if you want something which is purely visual it's the film for you.

Cathie 11 Dec 2005 05:16

Saw Narnia yesterday :D

LucyK! 11 Dec 2005 19:00

The last film we saw at the cinema was Wallace and Gromit which was great, the last DVD I watched was Love Actually this morning, such a good film!!

Can't WAIT to see Narnia!! Was my favourite as a kid so really looking forward ot seeing it, ( though I don't think my other half is looking forward to sitting next to me getting all excited when it comes on! lol)

Skeleton 13 Dec 2005 08:52

Sallow Hal.. It was so nice.. :D

Keab42 18 Dec 2005 16:43

Narnia. i enjoyed it more than harry potter...

Hypnobabe 18 Dec 2005 19:44

King Kong.... got a bit "How many more monsters can we cram in here?" in the middle, but was good fun anyway!

LucyK! 18 Dec 2005 20:16

Narnia was increadible!!!! Lucy started to annoy me a bit towards the end, ( must be the name lol ) but I thought it was just amazing, stuck to the original wonderfully

And I was shocked to see that the cinema was only about 10% children - the rest were groups of adults!

Heli 18 Dec 2005 20:25

Be Cool!! :-P!!

LucyK! 18 Dec 2005 20:53

How amazing is that film!!!!!!!

Feleena 18 Dec 2005 21:14

Bratz Rock Angelz sorry but my 8 year old made me!!

But Rock is good eh?

Feleena ;)

Chris 18 Dec 2005 21:34

The Producers (2005) - A fantastic film!

needmoremeat 04 Jan 2006 22:17

King Kong!!!!!!!!:D
Absolutely beautiful!
Only thing I didn't like was when Kong was fighting the T-Rexes and did something particularly nasty to the last one he fought, I love T-Rexes!:( Other than that, if you're not as attached to dinosaurs as I am, it's brilliant!

Paul191 05 Jan 2006 01:32

KING KONG!!!! This film is awsome and would advise anyone to see it. Jack Black is amazing in his role as the bad guy. I've heard a lot of people moaning that it is too long but personaly i could have sat there watching for an extra hour or so if need be. Perfect!

Rob The Badger 09 Jan 2006 07:11

Wow! Those visual effects are better than ANY Star Trek movie ever! These guys should be in charge of the visual/action effects of Star Trek XI !!!! If only Insurrection and Nemesis had been that spectacular. Unbelievable!

Keab42 29 Jan 2006 18:33

its a good film. very funny.

dottie 30 Jan 2006 11:24

Sin City last night on DVD - Ummm:roll:

Hypnobabe 30 Jan 2006 12:49

Just Like Heaven.... a bit predictable but fine for a girly night out!

sunneke 30 Jan 2006 13:42

madagascar....

Meataholic 30 Jan 2006 17:43

King Kong was the last film I saw in the cinema - definately worth seeing, but I agree with what others have said about there being too much dinosaur stuff! Also there seemed to be holes in the film, for example they didn't even mention how they moved King Kong off Skull Island to New York:?

Last DVD I watched was Crash (2004) - fantastic film:-)

needmoremeat 30 Jan 2006 21:18

Half an hour of Phantom of the opera on DVD. There was a power cut on our little part of a four mile long street, and in desperation we watched the first half hour of it on my new portable DVD player on a 7 inch screen set up on the table so it looked like a 1 inch screen:lmao: Chandelier part (best bit of the movie) wasn't quite as effective as it had been on the cinema screen!

Keab42 09 Feb 2006 01:43

been a busy cinema-goer this week.

Howl's moving castle - a wonderful film, well animated, good characters. ending seemed a little rushed and contrived.

Jarhead - Interesting, not quite what i expected.

Derailed - reasonable way to pass the time, fairly predictable. only one twist that i didn't spot. however it has prooved that Jennifer Anniston could actually be ok in a serious role.

think i might have to go see March of the Penguins and Casanova next week...

Cathie 09 Feb 2006 01:54

Waynes World on DVD lol...oh yes...;)

Hypnobabe 09 Feb 2006 11:50

Sleepy Hollow... taped it off the telly the other night and drooled over Johnny Depp... sluuuuuuurp!

That's an absolutely gorgeous film. Eat your heart out Walt.

Not as good as Sprited Away, but pretty much anything Miyazaki puts out is worth watching.

ChloeLee88 13 Feb 2006 11:02

Last film i watched.....Rumour has it! It was quite good!

Hypnobabe 13 Feb 2006 19:02

Braveheart on dvd.... yep, it takes that long to do my hair in the mornings.... lol

Rockette 16 Feb 2006 05:23

Sorry, I seem to have goofed here. LOL

The Chronicles of Narnia was a brilliant movie of a brilliant story, but my guess is you don't need to hear that twice. Humble apologies.

Rockette 16 Feb 2006 05:30

I saw The Chronicles of Narnia the last time I went to the theatre. A brilliant movie, adapated from a brilliant story.

Chris 16 Feb 2006 15:36

Wallace & Gromit and the Curse of The Wererabbit.

Keab42 16 Feb 2006 21:26

Walk The Line - very good film, quite tempted to go find a copy of Johnny Cash's autobiography now

I agree Keab42.. WTL was a great movie!! :D

The last movie I saw.. "Final Destination 3". If you liked the first 2 films, you will most likely like this one. :-) They have upped the gore factor in this one, so be prepared.

Final destination3

Rockette 24 Feb 2006 08:41

Mrs. Henderson Presents

With two "greats" playing alongside each other, how could it be anything but memorable. Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins are tops in my books.

Hypnobabe 24 Feb 2006 12:24

About to watch The Jacket - Adrien Brody and Keira Knightley - saw it in the cinema and thought it was excellent, but it's probably because of the psychology stuff...

amethyst 24 Feb 2006 18:10

Chicken Little  (well it was over half term and I did take the kids).

Benny 24 Feb 2006 19:43

J.

Ross 28 Feb 2006 13:48

Watch Brassed Off on DVD the other night, but have seen that loads of times. Before that in the cinema was Good Night and Good Luck , which was great. Walk the line is also fantastic. Want to see Capote before the Academy Awards.
