I've been thinking and noticed Meat isn't on the radio during the holidays and wish he'd bring out a Christmas Album. He did that live show, but sound is poor and sketchy.

He'd make a sweet Santa Clause is Com'n to Town!

:D

I'm sorry i can't respect any artist that does xmas albums, they're a cheesy, moneymaking gimmick imo
So i sincerely hope he sticks to producing proper albums ;)

But welcome to the site all the same :D:D

I have to disagree!
I own several Elvis Christms CD's and he sounds far from tacky in fact he does them justice I think but I am biast. I also have Ann-Margret singing xmas carols and she too sounds far from tacky so I have to disagree here!

ThanX

I do have alot of Meat "Unofficial" recordings, like the Xmas Show. he seems to not mind them. He seems to dislike video, though.

I gave it a lot of thought...and I think it's REALLY NOT a good idea...those albums are often just to make an extra buck for an artist and often turn up cheesy...now...I don't mind Meat singing one or two Christmas songs...but the entire Christmas album...don't know...somehow doesn't appeal to me...

well a whole xmas album wouldnt really go with the rocker image methinks ;)

Hmmmmm, well if Steinman writes some original Christmas stuff, plus Santa Clause is Coming to Town and others, yea I would.

Now that you put it that way, it could turn into an ego of Snowmen, cakes, and elfs mixed in with sex, killing, and cursing.

That'd be sweet!

Future Lyrics to
"Santa was attacked by a Giant bat"
Written By: J. Steinman
Sung By: Meat Loaf and Feat. Barry Menlo

Santa came through the chimney with Frosty at his side

when a giant Bat came down and skinned them Alive.........

Chorus:
Santa was attacked by a Giant bat!
Santa was attacked by a Giant bat!
Santa was attacked by a Giant bat!

(Some good Guitar riffs and more lyrics I don't feel like writing.)

a cheesy money making gimmick, as was mentioned earlier, would have no relevance of course to bat 3, as it was delt a cruel blow, and became one, though not through planning. but it happened, so maybe a christmas album is possible, with songs by james michael, diane warren, nicky sixx, and any other generic writers. it'll be fresh songs from our favourite singer, so should be welcomed, like any other album.

I think the day that Jim Steinman writes a Christmas song(s) is the day HELL trully will freeze over! :lmao:
